IH-634S-RAW - 21/23 ounce raw straight cut

folks , I've seen many pairs of denim on here , and wondered what lengths you go to , to get such good fading ?
Are you wearing your jeans every single day ?
Do you iron your denim ?
How often are they soaked / washed - or just freshened up ..I know there's comments on threads , I just am interested in each persons way of getting their jeans to look so good.
I have a year old pair of raw nudies but look nothing like on here , is it the weight of the denim that gives a better look ?
or simply the work you put into it ? -
It's a strange thing to answer. In the case of the 23 oz Raw IH denim - it's simply an amazing fading fabric. I think if you wore this for one year (on a daily basis, but even if not) you must get great fades, if you live a normal life.
Then, the pattern and shape of fades depends on how you size (tight fits often result in narrow whiskers and combs, loose in wider spread ones) and how often and how you wash them.
I know that some nudies, especially the non selvage organic ones, are really tough to fade. And then, there's folk that gets to fade almost every pair of jeans, like rockon99/kybosh, almostnice, iGit, licorice_noice (hopefully spelled correctly) just because the work in their jeans and beat them to submission.

Hey everyone, i want to ask everyone about something. I really-really like the 634RAW patch! And i'm waiting for the reply from mr. TinMan for his pair :P. so the problem is, if i have the 634RAW, what should i do if i do not want to ruin the patch even if i cold/hot soak it? Thanks everyone

Mink oil will darken the leather quite a bit. I'd stick with Mustang Paste or Obenauf LP.

Hey everyone
Sorry for asking noob questions all the time… Should i alter/hem my jeans after i soak it or before i soak it?
[/quote]I'm guessing after soaking, since it might shrink. Or after soaking, wear and let the combs and whiskers settles before hemming.
there is a difference between soaking and machinewashing. this is my experience.
machinewashing means at at least 3% more shrinking than soaking or handwashing.3% sounds to be not so much, but in fact sometimes this makes the fit!!
i soaked my 634-raw 21/23 and still it was to wide and i really wanted to sell it, but after machinewashing it was perfect!!my wife has a special program 15 minutes, 40 degrees and a special detergent for BLUE jeans material.
