Footwear for The Serpent 100km trail run on 2 July now figured out. Nike Invincible and Hoka Speedgoat 5, both sized up a full size. If the conditions look really good the Nike have a softer sole and a re a bit lighter so would be fun, but the Hokas will be more reliable.

I also failed. God to hear there is a restock coming. I preferred the more contemporary look of the mars yard, but these gps ones probably go better with denim.

@Paul9221 I received this strange package from Ethiopia today… After over a year and many emails and getting my money back those shoes that were custom made showed up. They are pretty cool. The suede is really nice. I like how soft the hand woven fabric is. They are a touch too narrow and short. But the way the upper is attached to the sole I imagine they will break in to be really comfortable.

I did but I guess they intended to act in good faith and follow through. I'm wearing them and if they don't fall apart I plan on paying them back.i am probably going back to my old job at the end of the month so I'll have plenty of money again so I can afford to pay them.

Well that's pretty awesome of them!  Those are some seriously great sneakers, man.  Keep us posted on how they hold up.
