IH-888S-SB - 21oz Non-Fade Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut - SpBlack

After a few wears I will zap them in the dryer to see if the could get any shrink in them. If i ruin it which I hope I don't then it will up being my primary motorcycle riding pants…
I don’t think it’s a good idea at all to put superblack denim in the dryer. Or the washing machine for that matter. Read the care instruction sheet that they should have sent you with your order.

I didn’t see it brought up in this thread, will there be a re-stock of these?

The product page in the webshop lists them as «Endangered» and says «No restocks» I’m afraid.

Are there any examples of how the non-fade material ages? I used the search bar but didn’t come up with anything.
-
Not many that I know of. I have a bag made out if it that has seen daily use for two years, I’ll take some pics and post here tomorrow (it’s 0100 in Norway).

Here’s the bag. It’s made of the standard 21oz Super Black denim. I’ve had it for 2-3 years and it sees constant use. I’m not gentle with it either so it goes everywhere. It got a thorough hand wash about 6 months ago.
The thing to notice is that despite being an item which has some high wear points and despite it taking a kicking, it doesn’t get high contrast fading. It fades in a much more uniform fashion. This is the reactive dye doing its job.
If you compare it the product pics in the webshop (https://www.ironheart.co.uk/cutnsewn/ihe-19.html) you’ll see it has lost some of its initial inky blackness. Another thing with this denim, it’s pretty stiff when new but softens beautifully.
Personally I really like how this denim ages and hope to get either a jacket or vest made of it one day.

I got these on today and holy wow are they amazing! Soft, supple, and amazingly comfortable right away. They definitely make me realize just how different the fabric is between these and the UHRs! I can’t believe how breathable they are.

The best I can do picture-wise for now.

They look like a really good fit @Jordanxbuffer You wear your jeans hard if I remember correctly. I´m excited to see these down the line.

Thanks! Yes I do, very hard. I’m focusing on my DWC pair right now but these will be put to work when I feel like living my Modern Life is War (black jeans, black shirt, black shoes) life.

Boom… @motojobobo with the outfit and the view. Very nice fit on the 888's

Thank you @neph93 . My 888s are way more comfortable than when they started off late november. Probably at 15 wear days by now. They are softening nicely.

Hello all,
Will these stretch out 1 inch in the waist? They still have tag size 35 available in stock which measures to be 34.5 prior to wear. My jeans are usually in between 35 to 35.5, just depends on the rise for me.
Thomas01's 35s stretched to 36, that is 1.5", seems a lot.
Thanks!
