I’m curious about the pop lock breaking easier. It looks like the chain is breaking and not the actual connector. Am I getting that wrong? Or is it the ball chain breaking off the connector that’s the problem?

Been thinking about getting one. Maybe it’s best to keep it old school

The problem is the wire in between the ball chain.

Can bend very quickly and easily

@Mizmazzle I guess the issue is that if you do somehow manage to break it, then you can’t just use the next ball in line. I also presume that Josh tested the actual Pop-Lock units to death before release.

I certainly find them easier to do up/undo.

@Mizmazzle I’ll update if I see any issues. FYI, they are slightly beefier in real life than the connectors. I’m not sure this is obvious from photographs.
They are more of a feature I think. Especially, for example, the triple cut-out that my wife has.

@Mister_Brue do you have a photo for comparison of the poplock triple cutout vs a connector? I've always thought that they are the same size

@kaacy1721 There might not be as much in it as I thought! The triple cut out certainly makes it look bigger than the others regardless of type.

I hadn’t realised until the other day that some of the 3/AA connectors are different sizes too.

@kaacy1721 I’ve worn it 24/7 for four years now. I’ve gotten used to it. It’s a little annoying but wouldn’t turn me off from buying again or another one.

Maybe I’ll email them and see what they say.

I enjoy a cigar on cool/cold nights on my longer bike trips so my GAH Zippo lighter will usually ride along inside my jeans coin pocket. Rocks everywhere around here so seemed an appropriate prop.
