IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black

@Twistlock looks blissful, looking forward to rocking a pair of these in the future..
What are you gonna switch to for the warmer months?
-
Carry on if you brave

Picked up a pair of these bad boys used but practically brand new. Only worn 4 times. I have heard two theories about starting this journey. #1 that you should wear these as long as possible for the certain fade potential and then there is the 2nd train of thought, give this pair a hot soak right off the bay to set the stitching. Which theory do you subscribe to?
-
The 25oz is sanforized but unwashed and its recommended to give them a hot soak before wearing them to get all the shrinkage out. Having said that, there are plenty guys that wear them without a soak.
-
In the end it’s all personal preference but i would go with a hot soak to prevent fade shifting.. there will be some shrinkage left in this denim wich you wanna take out at first. But that’s just my 2 cents
-
Just do a hot soak, otherwise they will shrink with the first wash when all your creases, fades etc have been set....
-
Received this pair today. They are way better than expected; the color is great.
I will give them the initial hot soak to get all the shrinkage out of the way and have them hemmed next week.
This is how they fit pre-soak (some how I lost my butt ).
-
@mlx i think those are gonna be a great fit after a hot soak

@Jcaz6996 Hey!! It’s funny you are here. Your videos are what convinced me about getting this pair and also the jacket. Thanks!

I’m declaring it XHSib season

@hoppy_IPA they look awesome but it’s the boots that are stealing all the show here

Arguably so, but man those vertical fade patterns on the lower legs are rather eye-catching too!

@Lowlander ohh no doubts about it, in any other circumstance I would only talk about that (the first photo is showing the denim off in a spectacular way) but I can almost feel the hours spend time and time again brushing and polishing to get such result. Its just such a well worn in pair that has got plenty of love.
