i saw IH measuring method, but i measure right where the seams start
Hi… If you measure a pair you own (and that fits how you like), using the IH method then you have a baseline for comparison.

i did that, but for some reason measurements always seem to be off. oh well. just ordered these, and if its too small, ill just return and go up 1 size.

Generally people who have been on the forum a while and/or buy from IHUK deal in the IH method. It’s the standard method for the Japanese denim industry regardless of what certain stores around the world do, so working it out is sensible in the long run.
Alternatively you can follow the progression of the existing table. The 32” should be around halfway between the 31” and 33”.
Finally you can always ask IHUK if they can check the thigh measurements of some of the 32” they have in stock, bearing in mind you may lose 0.3” in thigh with a hot wash.

thanks. i never hot wash or soak any of my raws. only cold. the thigh region is a huge problem for me. once that area shinks, its game over. really hoping this cut works for me!

These aren’t raw. They are sanforised, but there is a little shrink left in them.
I hear you on the thighs. I’m unable to wear a lot of cuts unless I oversize the waist because of that issue. The 888 should work for you. I love it for exactly this reason.
Oh yeah I know, but even if they are sanforized, they will shrink overtime with washes and soaks. My E6s had a rise of 12", and theyve gone down to 11" after only 2 washes.
Not sure how these will react, but always safe going bigger than smaller for me.

Fit check on these bad boys:
leg tapering/hem will be done on these soon.

I agree, it's a great fit Also there's indeed some slight bunching going on that could be hemmed if you wish not to double cuff or something.

i thought about a taper, but i guess i look fine given a couple of you guys like the fit. i come from wearing sharp tapered jeans from the knee down, so i guess i need to get used to it.
i could use a hem though, my true inseam is 29'', and these are around 36''.
love this denim, i dont think i can go back to any other brands.

Trust me, you can’t. No one can. IH is a black hole. Escape is impossible.

here's a better picture.
do you think if i hem them to around 32-33'', it won't looks so bunched up with cuffs?
-
What type of footwear do you plan on wearing with these? That would help in determining what length you want to go with.
good question.
casually i wear vans low tops, but come fall/winter, im going to be rocking my 6-inch moc toes. i like my cuffs a bit higher than normal with my red wings, so im guessing 32-33 is fine? maybe 33'' just to be safe? i haven't soaked or washed them yet. fwiw, i have a true 29'' inseam with no stacks/cuffs.
-
I have this denim in the 555 cut and washed and machine dried them and didn’t get all that much shrinkage.(Maybe an inch)But always better too long than short. If you went with a 32 inseam and they shrunk an inch your still 2 inches over your true inseam.
true. but i wear all my denim with a double cuff, so i have to account for that. usually a single cuff is around 1.75-2'' for me.

…looking forward to a restock in size 40
I’d get ‘em hemmed to about two inches longer than my inseam to allow for shrinkage and stacking, but with no need for cuffs. Stack fades look great on these (see @filthy’s pics above)
