IHE-40-BLK - Rectangular Leather Diamond Stitched Shoulder Bag - Black

The following is based on my ownership of the IHE-39. Same material, same construction, same strap shortening mechanism, different shape. In addition I haven’t used it on a bike.

The strap can be tightened around the body quite well. It sits very securely, i rarely have to tighten it, unless the seasons change and my layering eases up.

The mechanism that holds it there needs the leather to break in to make it secure, but that only takes a couple of days regular wear.

I would feel comfortable wearing it in a situation where I needed something that sits securely and close to my body.

While the ergonomics of the IHE-39 are clearly intended for wearing close to the body, judging by the photo’s of the IHE-40, I’d say the same was true.

I was on the fence about which one to go for, and while I’m very happy with my ‘39, the ‘40 is equally, if not more badass. The horizontal opening of the ‘39 with easier day to day access is what sold me on it.

My pleasure! It is an amazing product line. The quality is astonishing. Next time I have 600USD  spare I’d be tempted to double down on this one. Not something I need, but they are that good.

Had to run errands in town today and took the bike/bag.  The bag performs brilliantly carrying small items, stays exactly where I wanted it, and I had to check at one point to make sure it was still there.  It felt like I wasn’t carrying anything at all.  I rode at 80-100km and the bag didn’t move at all, even in decent crosswinds.

Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a smaller bag to carry items on your back when riding a motorcycle/bike.

On my recent holiday I used my IHG-39 (same strap/securement mechanism) around my waist as a fant pack while climbing/ziplining/bouldering. Same experience, totally secure to the point where I forgot it was there.
