Visvim

I am def one who gets why a brand is expensive compared to others.. but $1500 shoes are not meant for the common person. I have spent $500 to $700 on a pair of Dolce & Gucci shoes and those were as good in quality as buying shoes from H&M. I spent that money on nothing more than the name of the brand NOT the quality. ..Visvims I am assuming are considered high fashion as well as being made well right? Which would explain the $1500 price tag

Yes and sometimes not even made the best. If you want a highly durable shoe, the is not the brand for you. If you want something that is comfortable and stylish yet expensive, they may be for you.

Which model are you referring to? The ones I just purchased were less than half that.

Hey, noob question, but what's the smallest size Visvim make in footwear? I'm interested in fbt or shamans or some of their boots but I'm a 7D in Red Wings, 7 in Clark DB, and I don't think i've seen any visvim shoes my size.
I am pretty sure the smallest is 8 but if I find out something different I will let you know.

Visvim footwear goes down to size 6 US. My wife has two pairs in size 6.

Guys, I really need your help.. See I'm thinking of getting a pair of either a virgil kudu folk, or the kangaroo folk..
My problem is, i don't really know the sizing on those, and it would totally suck when the shoes get here, and they don't fit me..So I'm a size 8.5d in redwings, 8.5 in thorogoods, and also 8.5 in yuketen johnson..
What size should I get for them visvim virgil folk boots?edit:
Should I get size m8.5 or m9.5, what should the size say on the box? To be honest, I'm completely confused.. -

Their sizing is all over the place. I know some people will not agree with that statement. So far I have a pair of Keifers US11 and a pair of Hockney US12. I have a pair of Virgils coming in this week US11 and will note the fit for you here. I am sure nameness or Vinneus can chime in here as well. What are the best places to buy Visvim online?
The first post in the thread has a few online retailers. Don't have time to look through the whole thread to see if I am repeating myself or someone else, but off the top of my head:
Also note that even though all/ some of these places have items online, Visvim only allows them to sell via email or by phone. You will not be able to place a order directly on the web.

Picked these up new on eBay: http://www.tresbienshop.com/brand/visvim/serra-boot-black
I have been eyeing a pair of Visvim for a while, so I am pumped.

How do you compare virgil sizing to red wing sizing lando?
Same size or…?Okay so the pair of US11 Virgil Moc Toe just came in. Not sure what season they are from. Actually I don't know much about them at all. The Visvim Virgil US11 (based on what I can tell) run about a half to full size smaller than Red Wing. I am a US11 in RW and they fit perfectly. These Virgils I just got are a US11 and they are a tad too small. Not something I particularly want in a boot. That being said, I am going to have a tough time parting with them as I have been on the hunt for a pair of my own for some time now. I would much prefer a round toe Virgil in Black, but with a US11.5 or US12, I am going to have to pay retail….... BOOOOOO! Hope that helps if only a little bit.

Just won these on eBay. Much cheaper than retail. Second pair I have bought in the last 24 hours. Hope they fit.

Stupid question. Do you guys just wear your Visvim until they die? They don't look like shoe that will age well, and I assume they can't be resoled. I have a really large shoe rotation, so I guess it is not much of an issue for me.
-
Depends which style of Visvim you mean to be fair. I have owned FBT's, Skagway and Logans, and I currently own a pair of Kiefers, these would not really be the kind of shoe that I would get resoled. I imagine that if you had Virgils, or some of the more sturdy boot type then you should be able to get them resoled without too much of an issue. They look like a fairly regular stitch down construction, like many American work boots.

Can someone please explain to me what makes Visvim so special that the price of these can be justified at $500+ dollars? I'm not trying to knock Visvim by any means and it may just be a case that I have never seen this or many of their other shoes in person, but this price for a sneaker is just insane to me. Any insight would be appreciated. (I'm also curious why their jackets are $1k+ as well)
