IH-634SR - 21/23oz 5 Year Anniversary Straight Cut

Denim Sailor. With this particular denim/jean, if you do not soak you will have them falling apart within 2 months. You need to get rid of some of the starch and bed the constructional threads into the denim. If you do not the denim is so abrasive that the constructional threads will abrade through. I promise you, if you don't do this (and I have one very disappointed customer who thought he knew better), you too will be very disappointed….G

I imagine you shouting those lines to a prostitute wearing long black boots and a latex costume… I know it's your smartphone being silly but still... I like to believe...
Nay my Belgian friend, that would be me but I'd be wearing
Wescos and my 634s's. Lol. Although my Droid has a habit
For speaking for me! -

Does this apply to all IH jeans or just the 634SRs?

EDIT: What Giles said.
In related news, my SR's are somewhere in the building!!!!! No doubt standing on there own…

Cheers@that_was_easy:
Unsanforized (the 634SR) denim should always be soaked, cold for less shrinkage, but soaked nontheless. Sanforized denim (634S) has been shrunk and the fabric set. They're typically starchy and crisp, but soaking isn't necessary, unlike with the SR.

Just the 634SR, they are unsanforised raw.
Cheers

mine just got here and i must say these are fucking impressive. they're just so much more intimidating than my other 634s. i'm gonna hold off on soaking and/or wearing these as im currently wearing another pair of denim for ~2 years so i cant soak them or else i'll be too tempted to wear them.

Congrats to the guys who just got them!
In addition to the pre-soak necessity comments on the previous page. Even after a soak these are so stiff they will actually cut into the back of your legs a bit. The first 2 weeks I wore mine if I went for a long walk I would get denim burns on the back of my legs where the creases were. These jeans are not very forgiving haha. I would definitely recommend a pre-soak just for comfort sake.
I fear mine are coming to the end of line very quickly. I've been putting off washing them as that usually opens up the holes substantially. Luckily now I've got something else on order so I put them in for a wash today,
pre pics, sorry they came out so dark.
