IH-634SR - 21/23oz 5 Year Anniversary Straight Cut
-
two initial soaks. about a month of effective wear so far. LOVE this denim. it's beautiful. they're getting washed next week after my trip to new england.

I proxied one of these and just hàd to try them on before packing and shipping out - holy cow… They freakin weighed in at 1.450 kgs as well...
[/quote]Comparing the weight of my 21oz 634s - 1.02kg, against my 634SR at 1.33kg, my calculations make the SR's denim weight just over 26oz and added to that the 634s are 1.5" longer in the leg than the SR's!!

yeah, but you have not told us the weight of the 634s after your math…Simon, please do and than we can see what's what..hehe
I would guess Simon is calculating that because the 634s and their 21 oz denim weigh 1.02kg, and a similarly sized pair of 634sr weight 1.33 kg (about 30% heavier), and both pair have rivets and pockets and buttons and such but those factors are going to equal out for the most part, well then the sr denim must be about 30% heavier, so 21 oz plus another 30% equals… just over 27 oz... or some sort of similar calculation...
My calculation:
634sr denim = heavy enough for me

Simon’s calculations are fine and are the method I use to establish the weight of fabrics I do not know the weight of……....It does not matter what the weight of either is (though of course the person doing the math does need to know), what matters is the ratio and that then gets applied to 21….
