How would one clean a wool-lined denim jacket? Can you just throw it into the washing machine and air dry it?
I did. I put it in the Dryer too. I got a size big for that very reason. I do the same for all my UHFs.

Thanks! I wouldn't think too hard about throwing a denim jacket into the washer but I wasn't sure how it would work with wool.
I'm super pumped for the re-run of this jacket!

I can’t wait for the restock of this grail.

@Giles , It is just too hard to find another human to hold the camera out here in remote Alaska, and the polar bears are entirely too clumsy when it comes to holding an iPhone. Drone is the only way to take a selfie

Has there been any consideration for a superblack version of the storm rider?

Seems to me that practically everyone wants to fade something, so non-fading black isn't as popular as indigo or overdyed. I don't yet own the storm rider but if they had it in black, I would be hard pressed to choose between them!

Makes sense. I was looking at the IH-101J-BLK and thought that looked awesome but would love to have it with the blanket lining, hand warmer pockets, corduroy collar, etc.

Given the interest in the storm rider, I would be surprised if we don’t see another iteration in the future. A black one, whether Super Black or SBG, would be the obvious choice. OD won’t happen because of the costs and difficulty involved. Personally a duck version would make me very happy.

So I have been rocking this beaut every day this winter. I have lost some diamond stitching in the arm though, is the stitching aesthetic or used to hold the liner and insulation in place?
-
I’m not speaking for IH, but this was a common occurrence in the older lined shirts. I remember it not affecting the function or integrity of the piece.

There are other sections by the armpit that has some stitching loose. Just the easiest piece to shoot.

The picture is posting sideways…. whyyyyyyyyy?

@Matty123 Might possibly be the gyroscope on the phone. When you took the pic it oriented horizontal, maybe, depending on how you were holding the phone. Maybe open it in your pics folder and edit it by flipping it right side up and saving it, then reposting…

Lovely jacket (even if it is sideways [emoji6])
