IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Right G.. But just to confirm again. This denim would be the same as the VMC 634XHS/666XHS. Right?
And another pair of denim which would be out soon in the 634 would be the 634s RAW right? Sorry if it's confusing..
Yes this is the same denim as used in the IH-634-VMC and IH-666-VMC.
And yes, coming up later in the year is the IH-634S-RAW, which is the 634S cut but in the 21/23oz denim we used on the IH-634SR.
OK?
Sorry, new guy here :), what exactly is 21/23oz? I mean, why is there a slash? Does it get heavier in sunlight or something?

Oh, interesting. So do you size up when you buy, then soak to shrink, and then get it to stretch to you by wearing it all of the time?

Anoyone tried these on? Could you even sit with your legs crossed?? So awesome….

Probably not. These were nearly backbreakers. If you go back through the old posts, Haraki had to constantly check on the denim at the factory to troubleshoot problems, and the mill still nearly decided to give up on it. Add in the issues with sewing the jeans and the considerable expense in producing something that pushed the limits of what's possible as strongly as these did, and I doubt Iron Heart will be eager to do it again.

I have spent a lot of time talking to Haraki about these over the last couple of days. He is extremely proud of them and whilst they caused immense problems in the making (to get 300 good pairs for VMC, the factory have to make 370), he believes that now they have worked out how to make them, they should get easier. Plus, the Japanese domestic market is screaming out for them, so I think we may see them continue in production. Albeit in limited batches….
