@Mizmazzle said in Hang or fold? Waffle, Kersey & dobby IH shirt storage:
I hang all my shirts. Fold my tee shirts.
Hanging has traditionally been my approach, but I also haven't spent much time contemplating shirt storage until I discovered IH. Now all I think about is shirts.
I have no concerns about what to do with my non-denim/serge/chambray shirts, but the Kerseys, waffles and dobbys of the world are new to me.

Current XHS ( 666,634, etc ) & IH Beatle Buster 25oz ( i believe it was competition denim around 2013-2015ish ) are those the same or different fabric?
-
i have 666 xhs ( my first IH ) and i soak it, and i think it fits better, if i were to buy say 21oz IH ( 634s, 888s, etc ), do i have to soak it first too? or can i just wear it on the get go?

IH Beatle Buster
Was Beatle a former crew member/mod? I see the name a lot flicking through old threads, I assume these jeans were named after
himher? -
@T4920 Yes, Beatle was one of the originals here on the forum and a few still remain to this day. As @Giles mentioned one time that the forum used to be a small group of people, like minded, who shared a love of denim. There are many pictures of the group together and some of the shenanigans that they used to get into.
If I can find the thread, there are pictures of many of them together in Japan on one of those trips.

For those pictures of the group see here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum//post/114965

Wow, memories.
Once upon a time, all the retailers would go to Tokyo at the same 2 times every year to see the collections, and boy did we have some parties. One year I said, one more day of this and I'll be flying home in a coffin.... Then Clutch Collection put on their show in Yokohama at a completely different time (with no reference or due regard to the brands) and completely fucked everything up. The retailers just did not know when to hit Japan and it all got bitty and messy. Haraki decided to go to the first Cluth Collection show. On the final day, he asked Sarina to ask me what I thought of the show. I said "a complete waste of fucking time for us. What does Haraki think?. She asked him and said "he says exactly the same thing" - we did not go again.
Many of the established retailers did not like Clutch either. They had made their success by hunting out the brands on forays into Japan, then Clutch put all the brands in one place and any Tom, Dick or Harry could find the brands without putting in the effort.
I know times change and progress is progress. But it is a completely different landscape now....

Anyone have an undershirt/tank top recommendation? I purchased a ship John 2 pack years ago and LOVE em over the disposable hanes/fruit looms but they’ve been sold out for some time and looking to add more quality to replace the quantity

@flannel-slut The Whitesville 2 pack under shirts are great, they are T-shirts rather than tank tops but are sold as an under shirt. Quite thin and very soft and look just as good worn without anything over them. I bought the white, then very quickly added the grey, black and navy
