Not sure if this was posted before or if this sounds stupid but I'm wondering, what do you peeps do in this situation,
Your jeans are having your current wallet fade but then you're changing wallet from say a short standard bi-fold wallet to a mid/long wallet. What'd you guys do? Go ahead? But then the fade would look funny isn't it? Anyone having or had a similar experience before? -
Yes. I would say quality and workmanship are both excellent. I can only comment on the Tin House twill as I only have one pair but it's a lovely material. Although, it would feel a bit lightweight compared to your IH stuff despite being described as 'stout'
Customer service was very good as well. They were very helpful about switching my delivery address around as I was travelling when they were due to arrive.
Couple of pics to follow….

But then the fade would look funny isn't it? Anyone having or had a similar experience before?I'm going through this now. Moved from a Flat Head cordovan card wallet to an IH short wallet. The fades haven't set in yet, and the old fades don't line up with the current wallet. It's a little strange looking to that rare person who might actually give a shit, but it's not weird looking enough to gasp
It's one of those "hey, your fade is too small for your wallet"/"I got a new wallet" conversations that ends right there
Although I guess it could be a "your jeans don't match your wallet yet, loser"/"you don't have a black eye yet" conversations

A little brother of a friend of mine who just got into raw denim tends to asks me these kind of questions all the time. I understand where he comes from as I was like that too. I simply just give him the IJ approach and say, "they're just jeans. do whatever."
Or you can listen to Rocket and have an excuse for another pair.. ::)

IH-SW. In oxblood. Wife got it for me as an anniversary gift. I've always wanted one, since Giles pulled the prototype out of his backpack three or four years ago

well as doug said, if theres weird comments then maybe i'll start a "you don't have a black eye yet" conversation with them. anyway i'm still in the process of looking for a wallet. current wallet have lasted me 6 years and i think its time for a change. bottega veneta sure makes pretty durable wallet. or maybe i haven't met iron heart wallet.

On the subject of wallets, I had an accident:
I'd get a new wallet if I had more cash, so I'd also like to repair this if possible.
The question: Can anyone recommend someone who could repair this? UK based would be good…(I'm thinking add a bit of a leather trim around the top edge with a rein aatchment point on the spine, OGL stylee.) -
Do you guys ever feel bad about how materialistic we are? I love nice stuff but sometimes I wonder why I feel this need to spend so much money on a shirt, or pants. What do you guys think?

honestly i do feel bad at times about spending so much while others struggle to make their ends meet. however, think of it this way, this is the way life is and if you are financially capable of spending top dollars for quality stuffs then why not? we can't go around the world crying for the poor nor can we do much in helping them. we can stop buying expensive stuffs and give the poor money for this particular time but are we supposed to do that forever? hell no! giving them money doesn't solve their poverty. its many other issues like education, opportunities and etc. there's a old saying, " you don't give the man a fish, you teach them how to fish"
so chill mate, there's absolutely nothing wrong and there is no need to feel bad cos we work hard for our money and we have every right to spend it on whatsoever we wanna spend on (be it spending thousands on booze or hookers; its your money)
p.s/ this is just my point of view and i know some would frown upon reading this. sorry if i pissed anyone off with this post.

I know guys who spend just as much as I do, but on far lower quality items. I have three pairs of jeans, they have 25, I have 8 shirts, they have 50. To me, they are operating a false economy, our gear will last the test of time, there's will be on a dump in the next 12 months.
