@FilthyBloodJunkie:
There's a crusty punk rock record from the 90s I stole my name from. Google "Fleas and Lice/ Bleeding Rectum
Only on this board would someone mention this split LP haha… Crazy... I grew up with metal, then punk, then crust punk, then hardcore... I swear this board has the most (ex) punks!.. We even have punk posers such as Rafa
rydor: great to hear mate!.. Enjoy!..
I think you may have gotten away with talking about @Finn666 like that ???
Soaked mine in hot water last night for a couple hours then hung to dry. Pre & post measurements below:
Tag size: 32
Waist: 31.5 -> 31
Thigh: 11.8 -> 11.5
Hem: 8.25 -> 8.0
Inseam: 33.5 -> 33.0Aside from the stiff buttons they feel really good post soak and am happy they didn't shrink too much.

Tonight is round one of 25oz denim vs 17oz leather belt.
Custom made belt by Don't Mourn, Organize, 17oz of harness veg tan leather, with a peak thickness of 8mm. Both the belt and the raws fit great, but there's not much circumference left around my waist and my hipbone is starting to hurt. The belt fits just fine with normal thickness pants, the raws fit fine with normal thickness belt. This is going to be brutal and awesome.

My first pair. 36" waist, hemmed to 31". Yes I am short, and probably a little wide. Waist and thighs fit great, bottom openings a little big. I am doing a soak now in the hopes they shrink up a tad. Fine for boots, but shoes and sneakers not so sure. Otherwise I love these things! Giles and the guys were great, got these things to MA in record time. Thanks!!

Console yourself, with heavier fadings, and if you should get this far, rips and tears, they will look better still! Your fit is awesome, but outshadowed by the sensational fade. Kudos and keep going! -
@501/IH:
^^^^@FilthyBloodJunkie …Your fit is awesome..
Here's a fit pic. Size 38, unhemmed. My actual waist is about a 37 (sized fat-ass). Haha
(I wonder how you flip this a 90?)@Traser2g I'd treat that patch with neatsfoot oil or something really well. To prevent cracking. And give those a few hot soak/ hang dry in front of a fan cycles, to shrink 'em up. (I did 3). Because they do stretch out a bit.
I actually should have sized down a size maybe. But, I wouldn't be able to squeeze these child-bearing hips into them.

Thanks Filthy. I did a nice hot soak and hang dry tonight. I was really surprised at how little indigo bled out. Last pair of raw denim I soaked (not IH) made the water look like washer fluid. Good call on treating the patch I will do that.

I use Obenauf's LP, mink oil darkens the leather too much IMHO. But both will do the job perfectly as far as protection goes.

I've done it twice in all the time I have been doing it, Matt probably 2 or 3 times and I think Dylan has a 100% perfect record. Normally, someone other than the cutter puts a note in the back pocket with "Hem to X" in little writing and "Cut to Y" in big writing, that helps stop the mistakes. But a combination of factors meant that this did not happen and I had 28 in my brain, so that is what I cut too. I realised halfway through the first cut, but that did not help much…..

Dylan very wisely kept a low profile for 5 minutes after the cut…...I was not best pleased with myself....
The worse that ever happened, is when a customer had sent in a pair of his own non-Iron Hearts, they got cut wrong. There was only one pair of this particular jean left anywhere in the world. They were in Japan and we could not buy from here, so we had to get H to buy them for us......
