@BD81 Thanks for the input.
@alexswords this one down to you sizing up, watch this space round 2 coming up you will be surprise.
@Smiladon wonder where he is, put a lot off effort in his fades, don’t be kicking yourself and size up and start again.

I’m here, just been working my butt off… while wearing my 777s!
-
Here’s some particularly dirty pics ???
-
First one was a mistake. Thank god it was just another jeans pic and not something scathing
-
@Smiladon - no doubt you've been getting some good wear out of those. how's life in that snug of a fit been?
-
It's probably the last time I go this slim, but mostly its the back rise that gets me. I soaked these while wearing and then wore them until they were dry about two weeks into wear, so they are basically custom fit to my body, but I'm just kind of over the super slim cut in general. I'll wear these for the rest of the invitational though, cuz they are still really nice jeans
Its rough after a wash, but after a week they feel good again, meaning I can't tell i'm wearing 25oz jeans with every move i make -

Don’t make me cry @neph93
I got to meet him when he stayed at the hotel I worked at! -
@thomas01:
First try on of these Bad Boys.
I think I wear them raw for the first couple weeks. Just to see what will happen@thomas01 Hi Thomas, just came across your post here … how long did you end up wearing them before your first soak/wash? Just got mine 2 days ago and I was wondering how long it is okay to wear them before giving them their first soak.
Oh and I actually don‘t have any problem getting them buttoned up, will that change dramatically and become a lot tougher after the first soak?
Thnx

There is nothing wrong with giving them a soak straight away. In fact, in my opinion it is the sensible thing to do. While not loomstate or truly raw, there is some shrinkage left in this fabric. You may as well get it out straight away although there isn’t really any harm in leaving them if you want.
If you want to wear them in first, for comfort, you can but I wouldn’t wait more than a few weeks. The risk is that you will start getting wear and when you soak/wash then the shrinkage will move the fades an inch up the leg.
The soak won’t make much difference to the fabric or the buttoning up. Maybe a little more difficult the first time, but that is all.

Okay, so a few weeks it shall be ️

Cool. If you are worried about getting fades after a soak then don’t be. It won’t affect that at all.
One other benefit of an early soak is that if you put them on while still quite damp, then wear them for an hour or two, you will set quite sharp creases in the front and behind the knees.

You mean besides catching a terrible cold during the cold temperatures right now?
What is the difference in comfort pre and post soak? They are pretty comfortable out of the box I must say, besides that they are super stiff and do feel like wearing cardboard that is of course, with no comparison to my 21 Oz 777s.Just kidding … no that sounds cool, thank you so much for your answers
-
Go out of the house with them damp and it is on you [emoji1]
There is very little difference in comfort pre and post soak, assuming you can afford the half an inch smaller waist band and marginally slimmer leg. If you can’t afford it you bought a size too small.
A bit of water will not radically change the hand or feel of the denim one way or another. It will just get the shrinkage out. After one wear you won’t remember you had soaked them as any shrinkage you got will stretch back out, with the exception of the inseam.
