And done (still needs to be fixed and varnished and framed of course). A forum exclusive, start to finish. Started it the day I came back. I like that it works upside down or right side up, and even horizontal. Thanks for looking everyone, I really appreciate all the feedback!

And this is all of the paper pulp and colored pencil chunks, pieces and dust that are produced during construction, nothing is wasted!:

Here's a new look at a finished peace...

Believe it or not, I began working on this peace of paper in 2009. It's a peace of Arches Cover paper 250gsm, so it's like the 13.5oz. denim on the IHD-01 & TWHR01. It has lived a long life, had many different looks, been repaired multiple times, worn down hundreds of pencils/pastels, and I think it's finally gonna retire. There is much more to it than meets the eye. The last layers are pretty loud, but have a look around and you can find some bits of some pretty cool colors and textures.

Again, beautiful and evocative work, so many colours and textures. Planets within a cosmic universe spring to mind!

Long time no post
Just got back from Japan on sunday (spent 2 weeks in Kyoto) and after seeing all those beautiful japanese leather wallets in shops inspired me to finally get my shit together and make that new wallet I've been thinking about for quite some time now. A few years since I last made anything but yup, I've still got it. Not perfect by any means but good enough. Actually this was the first time I've done anything without straight lines so couldn't use a ruler for cutting and had to punch each hole separately with free hand spacing so stitching isn't perfect but I'm very happy with the end result. Made a belt as warm-up too but no pics of that since it was a straight forward boring 20 minute job.
Veteran and replacement.
I wanted something thinner and with cleaner/simpler lines than the old one with capacity for loads of cards (each slot takes three cards) and bill/receipt/etc pockets. No need for a coin pocket and the zipper of it in the old wallet wreaked havoc on my cards. Had to fit in the back pocket too so no long wallets even though that would have been better regarding card placement (horizontally vs vertically) and access to bill pockets. Can't have everything I guess Bought the leathers from Tokyu Hands on a last minute shopping spree and I'm happy I did. Took me about six hours to make (of which most was during a "can't-sleep-jetlag-night").
