Shirt appreciate post. I’ve worn this shirt a lot lately and it keeps getting better.
Mine is a little on the small side, but I wore it this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the fit when open. I was also pleasantly surprised by how each wear seems to leave its mark. The evil is real!
Yours looks lovely.

Shirt appreciation post. I’ve worn this shirt a lot lately and it keeps getting better. Still super crinkly. Still substantial. Looking forward to more evo.
As I impatiently wait for mine to arrive, how’s the shirt material compared to UHF?
-
Think of what the opposite of a UHF would feel like and you’re probably close. I mean that in a good way. It is stiff, crinkly, heavy, substantial. I really love it and now hope I’m not scaring anyone else thinking of getting one because it’s awesome stuff. One of my favorite IH pieces.

@LewisStonehouse is spot on. The fabric is great and has tons of evo potential.

What is the shrinkage on this is like? I'm considering getting it in size M as getting a size S and having it shrunk after several wears would mean that I have to live with a shorter sleeve. Any ideas?

I’ve washed mine on a normal (for me) machine wash. 30C and 800RPM. No shrinkage at all.

None on mine (albeit the work shirt variant) either. I think if you avoid excessive heat and agitatition (I.e. spin) you’ll be fine

Quick and dirty shot as this fantastic shirt was just dropped off by UPS. Size Large

@nvrp813 Great fit and a fantastic shirt. Cooper snaps look so good on it as well. Curious what you think of the fabric now that you can compare?
The description of ‘complete opposite of UHF’ is accurate, lol. Very rigid and reminds me of raw denim.
What took me by surprise, in a good way, is how trim it fits compared to the IHSH-309-PUR, yet measurements are very close. The smaller opening (20.9” vs 21.5”) must be the driver.

@SKT:
Well the fit looks spot on to me and you shouldn’t get any shrinkage if cold washed (as the folks have stated above). It’s funny how small differences in measurements can affect the overall fit of a shirt. I’ve found that out the hard way on a couple of items.
Oh for sure. I wish I had a better grasp on how measurements effect fit. At this point the only thing I’m sure of is I need a chest P2P measurement ~22”. The rest I’m just throwing caution to the wind and hope it works out [emoji23]

@nvrp813 Your method sounds familiar…I need a little over 22” p2p for anything to fit right. That puts me in an XL sometimes which is usually too big in other areas. But I’m getting the hang of finding the sweet spot…finally. When I get it right, IH fits me better than anything else. Grateful to IH and the crew for providing such detail in the measurements. Can’t go back to old sizing methods now…spoiled for life!

It took me a while to work these things out. It sounds dumb but you have to think about what happens between the measurements.
Example… the relationship between chest, waist, opening and length is very important to fit. A lot of taper in to the waist may negate the effect of a bigger chest. A shirt with the same chest but less taper in to the waist and a longer length will give a less fitted silhouette.
By the same token, a shirt with your preferred chest dims may feel tighter around the chest due to a narrower than normal shoulder measurement.
When you’re a few shirts in you’ll start noticing the patterns.

Anyone out there wearing this shirt without an undershirt? Just checking thanks!
