@DavidNC Nice fit. L didn’t work for me, marginally, but the IT team are exchanging it for an XL, which I’m hoping will do.
-
Thanks! It was kinda stressful placing my first order and not being certain how it would fit. The size charts were helpful and I measured several of my shirts here but I had nothing with quite the same chest and shoulder measurements. In the end I decided to go for it with a L. Future purchases will likely be a little easier after losing my IH virginity to Purple Rain.
Good luck with the XL!

Straight in there for the the XXL - pow!

I've been a consistent XL's in these UHF's for years but this one just seems a tad too tight across the chest. I'm worried that sizing up to a XXL will introduce the issue of sleeves that are way too long even with attempts to shrink them as the XL has sleeves that are already giving an inch or so of extra length. Uggh. Is it reasonable to expect a half-inch stretch across the chest in this XL? ….seems like this one simply isn't in the works for me otherwise.
-
Personally, I would not consider buying a UHF with the aim of hoping it would stretch…
Running a compare, the XXL in the IHSH-260-PPL is not too different from the XL in the IHSH-232-RED

These came up a little small. I too am (a small) XL in most things. I would have gotten away with an XL in this but would have been nervous because of shrinkage.
Otherwise, Giles is right. They will loosen but not stretch like denim does. In addition there is always the risk of shrinkage.
You can expect to loose half a size with a hot wash on the UHF’s. A hot washed XXL would end up like a more standard sized XL judging by the measurements.

Just landed - super excited to get this on!
usually an XL but ran with the XXL

^ That's an awesome shirt @Baba-san

Thanks bud

Changed my X for an XL, as Neph suggested. My thanks to him. Pre wash it’s a much better size, I think, if a tad longer in the arms. Hopefully those will ride up with wear and a wash. Thanks to IH folk for the exchange. Cheers.

A better picture, but with me looking way, way tougher than I am. LOL.

@Richard I’m really pleased for you, that worked out great. It fits you very well and will also tolerate a warm to hot wash if you do want to tighten it up a bit or shorten the arms. Well done sir.
My thanks to you, sir. Now I have to make sure I don’t look at photos of the new black and yellow UHF. LOL.
