@FlavourFade - I think you made the comment about the robustness of the buttons on these. I have both XHS and Sib but my thumbs are definitely getting a work out on these. Fit is okay. Think the measurements will work - perhaps a little less room in the waist than I had hoped but doable. But trying to get the buttons in is a tiring, sweaty and painful task. Then we will go for the soak…

@Crispy-Heron you can stick a screw driver or some similar device in button holes and work it around to loosen up the button holes.

@Mizmazzle - thanks. Good tip. I have a handy bottle stopper which I tend to use. Currently trying to loosen up the top button - hopeful that it is working.

Next decision is whether to fully hem, partially hem to enable a cuff or not bother (mega cuff). Have done all three in the past, Given that I have about 6 inches of length to deal with, may go for a bit of shortening to enable a double cuff.

@crispybeantaco I feel like I am annoyed by the cuffed fabric in the two legs touching each other while walking more, when the denim is heavier. Also I like black denim more when there are no cuffs and the red selvedge ID is a little too much contrast for my taste, so I will fully hem them.

But I think yours are much more fittet with a 30 waist then mine, so they look totally different and could be very cool looking with some ID showing

I think I will wait for a few months to start wearing them. Have been wearing my XHS for most of the year so I am not going to give up on them yet. Perhaps these will be my 2025 pair?

Thank you both … Yep I wouldn’t even entertain these right now and I’m pretty stupid when it comes to heat and heavy denim..

I’m pretty sure this is just me but I’ve got some crazy scars from my XHS rubbing my hips and the top of my arse from being that hot in work and sweating that much the denim goes stiff becomes a nightmare to even bend over , even got a nice graze on my back today from my 409 rubbing . 30 degress today must be crazy .

Sending back my 295ib for a pimping so thought I’d double down and send my BBs back for a crotch hole repair too. Had to give em a wash first. Threw them in the truck this morning to drop off after work and was taken aback by the progress.

Not gonna lie…rather nervous about sending out two of my most prized denim possessions into the parcel-verse.
