@mikebarhoot haha. That’s a nice compliment. Thanks.

@Jcaz6996 - great minds think alike: I cracked these open last week. Top button was the most difficult I ever had to do. Eventually got there with multiple injuries to my left thumb. I have worn a few times since but I am putting off the hot soak as I don’t want to go through the pain of the top button again!

@Crispy-Heron lol mate when I say top button it’s not even close to the hole , think I better be loosing some weight to get these done up.
Even started running again …
There currently drip drying on my line with a clamp stretching the waist ..Definitely not going to be fun ..

@Jcaz6996 hahahaha mate I am rocking mine for about a month now and have to stepp back in terms of christmas sweets to be able to get on with them but love em very much, they are already getting softer and show hints of grey. I think the best pair of jeans I ever had so far
-
@Crispy-Heron I tortured the button hole with a screedriver and after that I never had a problem with buttoning them up

@Jcaz6996 might need a pants stretcher my man. Assuming the could be buttoned before the soak easily. Do you have one? About 20 bucks on Amazon I have use a pants stretcher and hat stretcher both worked well. Will save you time and some discomfort.
Edit: something like this
The one I have works on XHS too, I tried it on thr Pronto indigo/indigo. Just might need to stretch them again after washes.

Another trick that I’ve used is to wear them for a few days with the top button undone but with a belt. Normal wear and it will start to stretch everything out just enough to do that top button. That said, I’ve also had a bruise on the hip trying to do it too quickly.
Good luck!
