All. I am thinking of moving to the dark side (yep, dumping the bloody Windows thing and getting a Mac). I am not (by any stretch of the imagination, a power user), but I do like to have at least a million windows open at once. Don't particularly care about screen size. Any recommendations? G

If you keep an eye on the Apple Store, you can get refurbished 21" iMacs for under $1,000. Just saw one for $929 yesterday when looking for a friend. Rufurbs come and go on the site ($929 option not available currently, but could show back up again at any point)…
The refurbs are a good deal. I've bought refurbished Macs a few times, as have friends, and have had no problems. Have same 1 year warranty as new machine (they are essentially new). If you don't need notebook, the iMac is a good machine. 21" display is nice too.

Hahaha, thanks fellas. It went swimmingly. I spent a good 15 mins sitting in the middle of a heavy traffic area looking for some awesome denimz and I saw maybe a couple thousand people total and 0 dope jawnz. I was waiting for my girlfriend to get out of her latest class and what do you know.. A really nice pair of Flatheads walked right by! 300w's or F-310s. I don't remember which pockets it had. Doy!

310s were always my favorite cut of Flat Heads. I definitely know what you mean though, I go to ASU and I see more sweat pants and flip flops than anything else.

Don't know how much help this is, but I've had Macs since the early 90s. Still using a hopped up G4 tower under the desk here that's 10 years old running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger). I'll be having to replace it soon enough, but 10 years without any failures and only one glitch (a iTunes downloaded update-related seizure) certainly appealed to my Scottish frugality.
I had to use PC laptops at work, but always had a rogue G4 under the desk there, too. If I saw Bill Gates walking down the street, I'd bitch slap him into the gutter for all the Windows-related nightmares he's birthed. Bill Gates, the man who made Ctrl-Alt-Del famous…Asp

Cosmo, you are so absolutely bang on right about Macs, been using them since Uni (which was some time ago!!) I've even paid to buy my own Mac when companies I've worked for provide PC's for free. I get Sooo angry when using a PC they just don't seem logical, every thing has to be hard work?
Not sure if I agree with you about Bill Gates, I quite respect his philanthropic attitude + we know he secretly uses a Mac when he thinks no one is looking Don't get me started on 'Monkey Man' Balmer thou!!

On the topic of Apple, I just splurged and got the iPhone 4. My 3G was on it's very last leg. Also, Mac/ Apple talk can be continued here: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=242.0
