I think Solstice has a female singer now though, or they did for their latest release. I don't care for any of their older stuff prior to 2013.

Solstice is a band that I never really paid attention to although I've had them on my list for a while. Have you ever listened to Atlantean Kodex? Similar style

I am nowhere near as clued in to metal as you guys, and I’m sure you’re both familiar with this band, but I love The Sword for some Maiden-esque metal.

Bro The Sword is an awesome band. One I have forgotten about. Thank you for the reminder.

Are you in the US…i'm assuming.? There are two metal festivals in Maryland. MD Deathfest and MD Doom fest. If you are close it is for sure an awesome experience. I do not usually remember  most outings...but I do enjoy them.
