This one is so fun. Played on microtonal guitars with lots of notes in between those in western scales.

Billy Strings is on my turntable very often @mclaincausey .
Arvo Pärt dedicated to @adam313
Serious storyline behind this video.

Digging the first live album from Jeff Parker. LP hasn’t left my turntable.

Seeing these guys
https://www.kickthecatmusic.com/aboutOpen for Garaj Mahal, a wild fusion group I just love.
The drummer for the opener is the same fella you asked about in a previous thread @Jett129
I look forward to seeing both

Oh no, I didn't know. Rumours is by far their best IMO, impeccable wire to wire and one of the greatest albums of the era. It's a shame the interpersonal dynamics soured, but I supposed that was a big part of the tension that made that such a great product.

Maynard makes decent wine, probably REALLY good wine for AZ. A tad boozy, but each of the varieties of Merkin Chupacabras we tried (white, rose, red) were good. Pretty sweet little tasting room / osteria there in Cottonwood, AZ.
These guys opened for Garaj Mahal last Saturday. Definitely music nerd prog fusion jazz and as such not for everyone. But if you like things like Allan Holdsworth, Oz Noy, Wayne Krantz, John Scofield, etc, you might dig these guys. Again, Kris Myers on the skins, whom @Jett129 noted above in that Billy Strings post–he was fantastic live.
They played such a long set that I had to go before Garaj Mahal came on (to relieve the sitter at midnight). Huge bummer, but very excited to have caught such great new-to-me music.
I've been listening a bit to Pond from Perth, Australia. Really love them. I don't know what's in the water down there, but Australia's putting out some amazing music, especially per capita
And it turns out they're playing nearby on Friday. So, probably going to make the trip to Englewood to see them.
