Circuit of the Americas here in Austin does an annual event called “Peppermint Parkway” with a bunch of lights and music setup. And then for an extra price you can drive a lap on the race track! So we did that for the first time last night. Got to do a wet lap on CotA which was a lot of fun even at less than 40mph
-
Peppermint Parkway is already a fun holiday vibe, but getting to drive on the CotA track even at 40mph must’ve been such a cool experience. A wet lap just adds to the excitement!
-
@KawaiiKitten The speed limit for the track was 25mph. But you easily could slow down, let the pace car go ahead and the drive into the fun corners with some speed. Hitting the esses was really fun and a bit challenging, especially with my wife and son in the car haha
And then the stadium section after the straight was really cool to see all the seats around you while driving. And entering the pit lane to finish was really cool too. Pretending to be a Formula 1 driver for a good ten minutes haha Well worth it! -
I ordered these glass ornaments and tree topper from Middle of Beyond. They are amazingly well made and detailed, reminiscent of vintage ornaments with an obvious twist. My favorites are the red Krampus head (of course) and the zombie Santa. My wife picked out the Abominable Snowman tree topper which I also love but I love them all! I linked the website for those who are weird like me and might be interested. There are some real christmas gems in there.
Oh, and a coworker made me this Ravens bow LOL. She said it was for my tree.
