@Oaktavia Crazy how quickly you've broken those in and how rad they're looking already!
They are fascinating jeans. Like velvet.

@sabergirl I got a phone call from your pair, they said you're just right the way you are.
Haha thanks, jeans and @Oaktavia . I don’t mind my weight, just wish I would’ve sized up in the MB
-
@sabergirl maybe the ol' trusty pants stretcher will do you a favor.

Have you ever used that thing on the thigh, @Oaktavia ? This is my problem-area. Waist is never an issue.
Hmm...I bet it would work with some fanegeling
-
@sabergirl I'm looking around the house for the pants stretcher to try it out on thighs. Can't seem to find it...I'll keep looking
-
@Oaktavia I've been thinking about this and I don't know if a stretcher used on the thighs is a good idea. When you use the stretcher on the waist the fabric is one strip that is continuous around the waist of the pant and the weak point would be where it buttons.
The stretcher on the thighs would be exerting force on two sewn seams and may put pressure where it's not meant to be put. I have faith in the skill and craftsmanship of the jeans, but I do worry that the pant isn't designed for that kind of strain in that area.
Hopefully it makes sense.

Quite a while ago I remember someone here dealing with a tight thigh fit & washing/drying their denim. You know.. everything may be a little loose but the thighs could be a problem with shrink.
Anyhow - their solution was inflating a couple of those rubber balls you used to have on the playground back in grade school. The idea was to put them in the thighs after a wash/still wet & pumping them up.
-
@hoppy_IPA huh that might work...

The sun brings out the fades. I want to go as long as possible (for real this time) without washing these. I think with this unique denim, that would be the best plan. The longest I ever went was 61 wears with 777S21ib, which is nothing compared to some no wash faders out there. I want to go much longer than that with these, but time will tell.

Oh wow impressed by those pops of electric blues coming out of these! These seem to shed ink faster than OD?

These are my first OD from new, so I have no frame of reference. It does remind me of when I was fading my XHSbb and was told by folks that they would be super slow stubborn faders. They faded quicker than these though I would say. The MB are like velvet; you can swipe with your hand one way and the other while one way shows indigo and the other deep inky black. It's wild.

These are proving to be full of unexpected surprises. I did notice the “velvet” quirk on both the 14oz & 21oz versions which is quite a neat feature. Hope you’re able to keep them unwashed as planned. The way your fades are heading, you’ll have some mad hues of various stages of black and blue all over
