The sun brings out the fades. I want to go as long as possible (for real this time) without washing these. I think with this unique denim, that would be the best plan. The longest I ever went was 61 wears with 777S21ib, which is nothing compared to some no wash faders out there. I want to go much longer than that with these, but time will tell.

Oh wow impressed by those pops of electric blues coming out of these! These seem to shed ink faster than OD?

These are my first OD from new, so I have no frame of reference. It does remind me of when I was fading my XHSbb and was told by folks that they would be super slow stubborn faders. They faded quicker than these though I would say. The MB are like velvet; you can swipe with your hand one way and the other while one way shows indigo and the other deep inky black. It's wild.

These are proving to be full of unexpected surprises. I did notice the “velvet” quirk on both the 14oz & 21oz versions which is quite a neat feature. Hope you’re able to keep them unwashed as planned. The way your fades are heading, you’ll have some mad hues of various stages of black and blue all over

@Oaktavia I'm awaiting new photos from You in this thread every day!
I do love my IH-888-XHSib but the MB is next level and its sad that I saw earlier statements that they will not be remade. The reason for it eludes me. If there were plenty in stock and not selling I could get why not do it again, but the link below is not even pointing to store, they are absent on secondary market and it is not a collaboration where the consent of other party is needed (like in the Pronto thread). -
@Karol LOL I am a huge fan of LOTR and that made me chuckle quite a bit. If it makes you feel any better, the XHSib fades are insanely beautiful when well worn. They are a super special denim IMO and one of the best of the bests. I would take a guess that the MB was a difficult denim to make perhaps, but pure speculation. I say that since it was dunked into two different ODs. Seems like extra work compared to others, but I really don't know why it is no longer made either.
Anyway, I am glad you are liking the photos. I'll post more often now that you said that.

@Karol I believe @Alex once stated that they are pushing the mill's to maximum capacity and there is only so much room and time for product runs. I personally am happy that we are constantly being rewarded with so many variations of jeans to choose from.
One of the things I learned a while ago is don't hesitate on a purchase if that is something you want and are able to snatch it up. Sometimes the timing works and sometimes it doesn't.
...and most importantly never say never. The cords from this winter is something a lot of us had been waiting for, for years.
-
@goosehd I think MB was released before I discovered IH. And yes, going for the things you like is always a good idea, but I would like to avoid purchasing in a fear of missing out on things. I got two pairs of IH-888-XHSib and two IHSH-339-SAX because I don't want to be in such situation. Now maybe someone else cant enjoy wearing them as they just wait for their turn in my closet...

@Karol This can get into one of those philosophical discussions about want versus need which there isn't really an answer to. I think most of us buy to our tastes and likes not what we fear of not seeing again.
There are many items that came before my time that I wish I could buy, but realize there are so many new items that come along that my wants and needs are fulfilled. Another thing I do is skim the marketplace on a daily basis for items that I missed because of timing or came out way before I found IH.
