IH-888-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut - Black/Black

That a big pot…
2nd boiling soak in an even bigger pot today. Hopefully they will stop bleeding dye. It's freaking crazy how much dye bleeds out of these!
-
@Al:
A question if I may.
I have only ever seen pictures of 'blowouts' on Black Jeans, is there a reason for this?
Thanks
There's lots of indigo blowouts in the IH HALL OF FADES. A lot of them have been darned over.
-
I shrunk the inseam from a 36.7 to a 35.25 or so.
-
I had some dye bleed on the patch so I dyed it black and oiled it up. A lot of the dye will probably rub off…
-
Yeah I use the pots to soak my jeans all the time. They are stainless steel.
And yes the color is even.

…@Filthy it was the lowest button for me, had to button that one up while not wearing them. Brutal. :o
...your review is spot on.
I know the sun (we get some on occasion) is bright in that pic but do I get the sense of a slightly oiled look / feel to them?
I am interested in the boiling that you and Filthy talk about. I really like my indigo 888 25oz! only thing is the slight Riding breech look at the upper thigh (not a big problem but I know you had this too)

You know what I love about you, Filthy? You're so positive and adaptive. I'm not sure what my reaction would've been to dye on the patch…probably a little bummed and then just "Eh, I'll live with it", but you're like "I got some dye for that!" and totally followed through on making lemonade with life's lemons
-
I was saying that they needed a tea core black patch years ago. The dye I used kind of rubs off like that. It's probably at least 10 years old.

That drops out with wear as the denim softens and moulds to your shape and movement.
Didn't think I noticed on your pics so just assumed it was not a break in situ - Thanks
Drops out maybe a small exaggeration, but it certainly softens and becomes less noticeable. It is more pronounced on the XHS iterations that the 21oz iterations due to the nature of the denims concerned, but my UHR 888’s had lost it before I sent them to denim heaven recently.

…@Al 916 I wouldn't say oily but definitely there's a 'sheen' to them for sure.
Now, I didn't 'boil' them, just through them in the washer so I probably retained a lot more dye than even soaking them I would think....on the other comment , I don't have 'thunder thighs' but after a routine of leg extensions, leg curls and leg presses my XHS-555's are at the limit and I always look for thigh measurements of a minimum 13" on pants and I believe the XHS-888's are about 14". The top block is roomy for sure on the 888's but that's why their really comfortable to wear with no restrictions.
...as @neph93 mentioned they will calm dawn with wear as these are still 'popping' when I walk!

Quick and dirty fit pics. Despite them being very tight on my pelvis I got them buttoned up with little to no trouble at all. Before anyone asks, no I won't be getting them hemmed and am sticking with this size cuff…
The denim is very black and no streaks or anything. The denim is ridiculously heavy. Very, very nice.

I also forgot to write that the denim has that very soft and silky hand that the usual XHS has. Most excellent
