IH-888-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut - Black/Black
-
Yeah, I was gonna suggest they make these today and they already did. I am glad they're still here. Probably going to buy mine next week.
-
@Filthy The denim/fabric is next level, arguably the single best most awesome black denim in the history of all mankind. How do you of all people, the self professed/original/one and only 25OZ Junkie, not own a pair of these is beyond my comprehension. Other than the fact that they’re not Indigo, maybe. Sorry, I’ve been drinking Tequila, but I do quite like them. Probably got about 50 days into them and a couple of washes. They’re great for riding for temps in the 50s,without the need for thermals or chaps. And you look cool AF when you get off the bike. They soften/break in pretty easily. I,genuinely, think IH hit it out of the park with these.

I was being a recluse last year and I missed them. It's funny because the black/black 888 thread got lost in the shuffle and I thought these were only in 777/555 cuts. I feel guilty because I pestered Giles about black 25 oz denim for a while…
I am going to have to grab them ASAP.
Oh, and enjoy your tequila bro xx

@Filthy Peer pressure purchase, ha.
-
LMFAO I might buy mine right now. Serious FOMO rn
-
If nothing else, just (theoretically) hold them for later..
-
-
…just popped for these and they'll be my first pair hemmed for no cuff! Woo doggie!
-
@vaquero357 that's awesome. I hope you enjoy them. Don't forget they will probably shrink about an inch vertically. I would take a 30 inch inseam and I did 33" so I have about 2 inches for some stacks (on my other 888 pair).
-
I actually did a hot soak, wore them a week, then another hot soak. I have some measurements posted on the 777 thread.
-
…looking for an after 'soak/wash and dry' inseam of maybe a tw*t hair over 33" so I went with a 34.5" hem.
...that should put me in the zone.
-
@Filthy Your pair show up? Quick thoughts?
-
They are sitting on a shelf in Gosport at the moment. I am working in Florida and then I am going to Kentucky for 10 days. Not even going home yet… Too much heat on how many purchases I've made recently. I need to wait for a while.
-
…well I finally got around to the wash/dry measurement fun, but first I'd just like to say that these are 'super monster killers'! ( thanks Adrian Belew ). These things are hard and stiff ( settle down now ) and they seem even more brutal than regular XHS Denim! Wow! :o
...I gave them a regular wash and tumble dry( inside out ) until slightly damp and then hung them up to dry overnight. I've done this to my previous pair of XHS-888 indigo denim to get the big billowy top block closer to my liking. Yes, I did get a little marbling but I don't mind because I'll be beating the hell out of these things in the real world, you know, work/play.
...no pic's yet because it is hotter than a crack pipe on pay day and these are not conducive to hot weather wear and that is an under statement. Here's the stats.
waist 36" 35.2"
thigh 13.7" 13.2"
knee 9.6" 9.4"
front rise 13" 12.4"
rear rise 17.1" 16.5"
inseam(H)34.5" 33.7"
hem 9" 8.6"...these are not for the faint of heart, absolute motorcycle drag pants!! ??? Bravo Harakisan!
