RE: IH-634SV - The Vulcan - 18oz Raw Straight Cut Jean (With Hidden Pockets)
Hi Carl,
I've got a pair of sz 30's. Post soak after 3 months wear they are no where near as loose as they were prior. Due to pre-soak then being unsanforized, they will never stretch right back out. I suggest you size up to 32's, and they will shrink to perfection for you.
Alright, I will order 32 then. Most of my jeans measures 32" (my true waist too) so it makes sense. Cheers.

Probably discussed elsewhere, but these will be my first IH jeans and I'm not sure about sizing. Does anyone have any measurements a size 31 that have been worn for a few months? I've looked through the thread but couldn't find anything. If they end up measuring about the same as they do pre-soak 31 should be fine, otherwise I have to size up to a 32.

Well, my girlfriend wasn't very enthusiastic about taking fit pics, so here's a blurry one:

The shoulders are tight on this jacket. I haven't worn it enough to officially say, but I feel like they will loosen up a bit, or atleast have for me. Fit pics??
Actually, it's not so much the shoulders, more the arm holes. Fit pics will come!
same here, wouldnt say its a problem though. sure the pits/shoulders are a bit tight but in my case; not a problem. i cant do an ih hoodie under it, but i wore it with a woolen jumper and a micro down vest last winter feeling awesome!
Yeah, I'm sure I'll get used to it. It's probably just my usual buyers remorse kicking in.
I'll most definitely get a thin down vest for winter. That combo should be alright for normal Stockholm weather.

UPS man just came by with my M65, but it's too tight over the shoulders! I can fit a t-shirt underneath but not a lot more. I'm short but broad shouldered, so a large would have been to big anyway. I assume it wont stretch at all, so I might have to return or resell it. Too bad as it is a truly fantastic piece.
Also, top notch customer service and shipping, will definitely buy more gear from Iron Heart UK!

RE: IHM-02 - Ventile Lined Sateen Cotton M65 Field Jacket
Hello! New user here.
I just ordered the very last black in medium. I did some sloppy measurements on an old (european line) Carhartt jacket, but I'm still not a 100% sure. I'm quite short with a fairly "athletic" build, 173 cm and 70-75 kg. Medium should be the correct size, right? For japanese brands (WTAPS and NBHD) i usually size up to a Large, but I'm a medium in most european and american brands.
Also, does anyone know why the Ventile is only used for the lining? I'm assuming for aesthetic reasons, but it would make more sense to use it as outer fabric, as the waterproofness of Ventile (or any similar cotton fabric) depends on it actually getting wet. A Ventile lining would really be doing the opposite, as heavy perspiration will make the fibers swell and make the jacket less breathable.
Also, is this actual trademarked Ventile or just a densely woven Ventile/ETA proof type cotton fabric?
