Y’2 / The Shop Eco-horse Henry 1.8mm is getting a lot more wear. Typically layered with my IH type 3 vest. Breaking in nicely.

RE: Y’2 Leathers….
Eco hoarse shirt has landed. Soooo stiff, but so good. Smells amazing. Went with size 46 and fits a bit tighter than my IH 18oz CPO or UHF XXL.

RE: Show us your boots
Thought I’d share an amazing score I found this summer on Poshmark. All in I paid $250 Canadian for a brand new pair of JK Boots. Normally these would have been north of $900 to get them to Canada. The best part. They are my size. Rough out lower 10 inch smooth upper.
Freshly oiled with Obanaufs:

RE: Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades
I do a bit of leatherwork. I found it awkward to carry a leatherman everyday due to thickness. I did up this pancake Leatherman holster in 9oz (I think) veg tanned leather, hand saddle stitched with Kevlar thread. Treaded with beeswax and Obanaufs.

RE: IHSH-293-OD - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo Overdyed Black
Any body get sore elbows (inside of arm) during the break in? I sure do. But the break-in process is well on its way.

RE: Grooming and Hygiene
I’m into vintage safety razors and use them as my everyday shaver. I currently have / use a Gillette “Fatboy” and a “Fatboy Slim” from the 1950s and 60s.

RE: Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades
@Matt I have the same knife. Probably from 96 as well, when I was in scouts. I still have it!

Highly recommend for any history buffs.

RE: Y’2 Leathers….
@Autorotate will do. It’s a pretty big financial pill to swallow. Quality over quantity though.

RE: SOCKS
I recently went to an only one kind of sock rule for fit consistency and predictable performance. I’ve been exclusively using Canadian military wool socks that I find new in bag at thrift stores. I usually get them for $3 a pair. I like not having to rummage through the sock drawer. As an added bonus, I not longer have to find matching pairs. They are all the same!

RE: Y’2 Leathers….
@Autorotate that indigo tho. Nice jacket dude. I’m on the fence between the blue and the green Y’2 western shirt… leaning towards green.

RE: Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades
I’ve had Chris Reece, Hinderer and Strider in my pocket over the last decade. But I always came back to my first “real” edc knife. The original Spyderco Manix, pictured here along with the Native Chief.

RE: Filson
I’ve been a huge Filson fanboy for many years. I find it increasingly difficult to shop there anymore though. Pretty much everything is now made overseas and still commands a premium price. I will continue to enjoy my made in USA items like the tin cruiser and mackinaw cruiser but probably won’t shop there anymore. It’s a shame. But… it’s more Iron Heart bucks now
