It is funny what people prefer in westerns and work shirts. On the whole I prefer work shirts in UHF, especially the buffalo checks and ombres. I’m not in for this one, but I find myself unsure. I thought I preferred the western but the pic of @AdamC made me think again. It’s all speculation anyway…
9/10 I would take the workshirt….always thought western wasn't for me....until I saw this one. I'm a convert. This will be my first non-solid western shirt.
Got 'em!…..my fav flannel pattern from any brand in a long time.
The waffle makes it a fairly open weave feeling to me. I haven't worn it without an undershirt, but it does breathe well.
@protokultur if you are considering picking up the IHSH-96…go for it. Its a killer shirt, nice and lightweight for the spring / summer.
Second this…..though I will add that I find it a great weight almost year round, depending on what its layered with/under. I wore mine out in ~45 degree weather today with a thin undershirt only and I was fairly comfortable. I've also worn it comfortably up to about 75 degrees.
How long did you wear it without a wash?
I gave it about 20 wears, then spilled something sticky on it so I decided to wash. Its a little big on me, so its mostly used as a layering overshirt, which means it doesn't get any of my natural man-stank on it….probably could have gone longer.
Let it air out and see if that helps? If not, wash again? Hows the evo coming along? Pics?
evo is just starting, nothing much to see yet
Hey lads - just did my first wash and dry and noticing a 'musty' smell. It wasn't left in the finished wash for more than about 5 minutes. Any tips to get the smell out? Hang dry outside (where it froze solid!) seemed to help a bit….should I just let it air out outside for a few days?
Cheers!
Sell here….audience is lower, but you know you have a knowledgeable base. Ebay and grailed are full of cheapskates, only looking for a deal. Unless you need cash fast, I wouldn't bother with those. I've gotten some truly ridiculous offers for things on ebay....was selling a new pair of jeans, rare and retail was something like $450....someone offered me $75 when I didn't realize ebay had opened the listing for offers. It took ALL of my willpower not to respond that I would rather soak them in gas and burn them in a pile on my front lawn then sell them to that jackoff.
/rant
P.S. ebay sucks
Hey all - quick question on the fabric; is this more of a 'rigid' type with soft face, or is it more of a softer, flexible, chamois-like moleskin?
Edit: I'll add for clarity that most of the Japanese and Italian sourced moleskins I have experienced are the former, but British moleskin ala brisbane moss is the latter.
Snagged a D'artisan quilted denim jacket and an IHSH-157…..ready for fall!
