RE: Grooming and Hygiene
@WhiskeySandwich a bit late to the party but had one of these as well before I eventually started clean shaving my head. These were an absolute game changer, super convenient and easy/safe to use. Used these for many years. Today I just love the smooth feeling of a clean shaven skull.

RE: WESCO
My CXL aren’t really floppy at all. And if you ask me, the stack looks amazing when floppy. I saw the original olive pair when I visited TJ in Vancouver

RE: WESCO
@bluemantra I would assume it is similar to the Lou but I would suggest to reach out to TJ from The Shop. He is very helpful and has plenty of experience with both, the Lou`s and the short stack.

RE: Runners
@Nik oh wow, that’s disappointing. I was thinking of upgrading from my 955 due to the screen. My 955 will easily do 12hours.

RE: Runners
@goosehd depends on the pace but typically between 170 and 185. more steps equal to less energy/VO2 used but it’s as well personal preference and depending on your gait.

RE: Runners
@Nik But even a 965 will get you through a long distance if your at 12ish hours right?

RE: Runners
@Crispy-Heron Depends a bit on budget and needs.
The newer watches all come now with AMOLED displays while the older ones still use MIP.
If you just want a pure running watch the forerunner 165 does the job. The 265 is quite a step up and supports multi sports etc. if you want to add mapping because you go hiking frequently you may want to look at the 965.
If you want a bit more robustness Fenix/Epix pro gen 2 are you best bets.
If you don’t want Garmin but an excellent watch for running, have a look at the Coros Pace 3. -
RE: Runners
@Nik That’s for sure. I was assuming that a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
My biggest improvement came when I quit smoking. -
RE: Runners
I would say you will benefit from newbie gains and will see first results fast. VO2max will require some greater efforts every now and then. For longevity, VO2mX is one of the most important markers

RE: Runners
Way to go! Yes the temps around 50 are perfect for running.
You mentioned the greatest benefit of running through winter, running in spring is easier. Looking forward to your race selections!
