@Shaun Thank you, much appreciated. I think I will sit on this, and see if I can find one of these tees in a shop to try on.

RE: IHM-41-GRN - Quilt Lining M65 Field Jacket - Olive Drab Green
Hello friends,
A question for those who have this jacket:
How warm is it? What temperatures and conditions do you wear it in? Would you wear it when it’s 0 degrees C? Or -10C? How about -20C?Thank you.

RE: IHT-1610L - 6.5oz Loopwheel Crew Neck T-Shirt with longer body - in 6 colours
Hello team,
these look good, I have always struggled with length on the standard-length tees. Even with these long ones, I'd probably like another 4-5cm of length.
Is there much variability in length - i.e. is it possible to find size M with length 71cm or longer, in dark grey?
Thank you.

RE: Iron Heart Product Care Guidelines
@Giles That makes sense. And I'm guessing it means that it would be more visible on the thinner printed patches.
It will be interesting to see how it changes with subsequent washes. Will more indigo come into the patch, or will some of it wash out?

RE: Iron Heart Product Care Guidelines
I washed my 833S-142 jeans for the first time, and this is what the patch looks like. Is this normal? The blackening is a bit odd, not sure where that is coming from.
The wash was a machine wash on delicate cycle, 20C degrees, just the jeans inside out, no other items, small amount of detergent, no spin, line-dried in the shade.

@Oaktavia When in Tokyo, one must make the pilgrimage. I loved every minute.

Ok boys, it is done. I went to Hachioji, looked at both the denim and indigo wabash versions. I never really stood a chance. The wabash is lovely, but IH denim is IH denim.
The 21oz denim version actually does not feel so heavy. And if it softens with use, it will be perfect.
Thank you for the guidance.

@Oaktavia @krebsy
Thank you boys. I will definitely try to compare them side-by-side.I'm biased towards getting the 21oz denim version, mainly because this may be the only 21oz piece I will own. Too hot over here for heavy jeans or jackets.
However, it if is not practical, then the 14oz wabash is the way to go.But, I foresee that my biggest problem will be that once I see them side by side, I will want to buy both

RE: IHG-056-IND - 21oz selvedge denim apron
Hello friends,
A question for those who have the apron:
How stiff is it? Does the bulk of the 21oz denim restrict mobility?
And is it noticeably warm? Would you wear it on a warm summer day with shorts and flip-flops for a BBQ?I’m trying to figure out if this is the right apron for everyday kitchen use, in a warm-ish Australian climate. Or is more of a heavy-duty workshop apron?
I really want the denim version, but perhaps the 1/os wabash is a more sensible option.
Thank you.

RE: IHM-35-ODG - Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Olive
I just got one of these from a Japanese second-hand site. I love it - the fabric, the colour, the alpaca/wool lining - it's great.
Buying online without being able to try the item on, and without the ability to return is a little scary. I went through a bit of a thought process before committing.
Here are some sizing notes, in case they are helpful for others:
- I am size L in Type 3 Modified and Work jackets (I own IHJ-121-IND size L and IHJ-124-BRN size L and they both fit well)
- I am 184cm tall, 73kg, with not much chest or shoulders to speak of
- the N1 is size M and it fits well
- it looks fine with just a t-shirt and a thin shirt
- I can layer it with an UHF or a blanket-lined shirt and it is still fine.
- I tried putting on a t-shirt, a thick thermal long-sleeve t-shirt and a UHF shirt and it's still ok. A bit on the tight and sweaty side
- shoulders on the jacket are relatively narrow. Fine for me but if I had slightly wider shoulders, it would be tight.
- the length of the jacket is ok, but I would not mind if it was 2-3cm longer. However, I understand the N1 fit is meant to be on the short side.

I just picked up one of these second-hand from Japan. Beautifully faded and super-soft, I love it.

RE: IHM-38-OLV - 5oz Quilted Lining M-51 Type Field Coat - Olive
Hello friends, how is the fit on this coat? Does it correspond to other IH item types?
I don't have any cold-climate IH jackets yet, only shirts and an unlined Modified Type 3 jacket. In those I'm size L, so trying to figure out what size I might be for this coat.

RE: IH-526-ODG - Whipcord Modified Type III - Olive Drab Green
I just received size XL after retuning L (my usual IH size) and it is the perfect fit. I'm 185cm, 73kg. Sleeve length or shoulder width are not an issue.
Advice for future buyers:
- This jacket is on the slim side, even compared with other IH Type 3 jackets, especially in the chest (P2P) area.
- Have a close look at the measurement chart.
- Consider going 1 size up from your usual IH sizing (which is likely already 1 size up from typical western sizing).

RE: IH-526-ODG - Whipcord Modified Type III - Olive Drab Green
I definitely second the 'slim cut' on this one. It is very slim.
My other IH jacket (IHJ-124-BRN) and all shirts (IHSH-328-GRN, HSH-330-BLK, IHSH-288-IND) are size L, and they are all generously-sized for my frame. I even tracked down another Type 3 modified in a store (IHJ-121-IND) and size L was the right size. The chest (P2P) measurements for the green IH-526-ODG are narrower, but I thought it would be ok.
But when the IH-526-ODG arrived, it was fine everywhere, except across the chest. Noticeably tight, to the point that when I puffed up my somewhat puny chest, the front was pulling the buttons apart.
Other than that, it's such a lovely jacket. I just printed the return label... Sigh.
XL is not available from IHUK, but I tracked one down through Garmentory, shipped from Brooklyn Clothing in Canada. The dumb things we do for Iron Heart: a Japanese jacked, bought from Canada, shipped to Australia via the US
