I suppose an update.
Roughly 14 months of wear. Including one front end rebuild on my truck. Many soaks. Stopped wearing again as I've been in the SBGs now for a month.

Dis go here?
I've never owned a pair of the 21oz fabric, but if it is anything like the 21oz SGB I get all the all the buzz is about. The fabric is amazing and comfy out of the bag. I can tell this is going to be a long haul denim, definitely in it for the next two years or more.
I missed out on the 32s so I size up to a 33. It is a little baggier than I have been wearing for some years now but I will say it is nice to be able to get out of my jeans without my wife's help.
This denim continues to impress, super soft, the stacks have basically settled after less than two weeks. Creases have set. Now to fast forward a year or two to see the results.
I don't know if it clings to this fabric differently or just more noticeable, but the pet hair struggle is real.
For the more budget conscious like myself, strips of packing tape work well.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I just did as everyone told me to do, wear your jeans and your lifestyle will show.
This denim is amazing, the details are amazing, I'm learning to love the alternate W placement, and the cut in the size I got is perfect for my current build.
I'm not sure how these will turn out for several reasons.
First, I'm hell bent on see what I can do with a long term bulk, so there is a question on how long I will even fit in them. I've never been able to go longer than 3 months while eating right in the gym. My whole life I've been skinny, like 6'3", 140#s skinny. This is my first time in my life where I have the stability to do a bulk program as long as I have the motivation. Based on past experience, I doubt these jeans will make it much past the 3-4 month mark if I stay motivated and on my eating plan.
Second, I don't skydive much anymore, the IHxBxHCx25oz have rought 1200 and the DWCxUHR have roughly 800 skydives, that is a lot of time scrunched up in basically a ball while sitting in an airplane, I think that was a factor more than anything, scrunched up in a ball in a tiny space for many, many hours. I also did my weird shower with my pants on cleaning routine weekly, I don't have time time or ambition for that anymore.
I'm half tempted to treat them as I have my as I have Levi 501 shrink-to-fits, wear them for a few months then start throwing them in the washer. I have one pair I wore down to paper thinness, my only dislike about them is I should have quit wearing them 2 or 3 months earlier and during that time I got some black tar stains on them, ah well, I still love them.
I say that, but then I look at my past jeans and can't help but fall in love with them all over again. I don't wear any of them much at all anymore, if ever, they just hang in my closet holding the memories of their era. They are all in need of semi-major repair (by my standards) to be wearable daily again. I also feel they have had had their time in the sun.
We'll see what happens long term.
Anyway, now that I've written half a book… onward to the wearing of them, I'm sure the will be just as stubborn as the rest.
so a soak tomorrow and then on with the wearing.
Zero need for a soak unless that's just something you do…..
Its just something I do.
Package came today. I'm looking forward to this denim. I didn't have time to soak them today, so a soak tomorrow and then on with the wearing.
I'll be interested to see how these fit and fade over time for me, I've made it a priority in the next 6 months to actually get in the gym and eat right to see how much I can bulk up… so whether the fades shift over time or if they will continue to even fit over time we'll see, hopefully there are enough room in the thighs for some growth....
Onward with the pics.
I miss the blue bags, but these are more environmentally friendly I suppose....
I gots the #36
Obligatory family photo. These are all my worn IH pairs, I have another pair I never wore because, well reasons, and a duplicate pair of the SEXIHs but a size smaller…
From left to right: 634S-SEXIH, IHxBxHCx25oz, DWCxUHR, PIH5DCT, 643S-PD, and the new ones.
Mine are scheduled for Wed by 3pm, which is amazing coming from across the pond.
fanya the indigo invitational 3 isn’t until April. I’m not sure I can hold out until then either.
Thanks for the heads up, but that is too long to wait, they'll be untagged and soaking within minutes of arrival
off topic, is there a denim contest starting / just started somewhere that I can jump in on with these?
I love the look of these, beautiful. The only thing that worries me is the high rise. Im 5'7/170ibs so not that tall. Will the high rise be to intruding? I currently only have worn 555.
No reason why a high rise won’t work on a trim figure.
Thank you. Cutting it close, I purchased the very last 31, excited to get these and feel a new fit!
31's sold out in less than 2 hours, glad I didn't mull this over.
