The picture quality makes it obvious that my wife took these shots ( I have permanent potatoe vision when taking pics) but im pleased with how they turned out
Might as well continue with more Swift

@mclaincausey ill trust your judgment on who best would enjoy it next
@Inorganic i read it a few years ago and just revisited the audio book a few weeks ago
I really enjoyed it although it's not particularly uplifting
I'm actually trading @mclaincausey for the charlie watts book he is reading so might as well put this in rotation after he is done with it

@Jett129 oh we have the next reader lined up. I say we keep it going!
Yup I'm stoked to read and will pass along in kind to anyone else interested
@Mizmazzle dude you have to cut back on those sassy walks......
@Aetas love that version of the song
Could have been a great fit on all things must pass
@J-IV this one was rsd last year or the year before
I like it more than I had initially expected to

@Mizmazzle thanks man
I'm stoked to find something to add my list of hobbies that's exponentially less expensive than most of my other ones.
Bonus is that , in true Portland commie/hippie fashion, I have managed to trade fixing a few things for kids music lessons, herbal things and farm eggs$$$
These guys are next up and are a recent pickup for my wife.
70s/80s bibs that need some love
@J-IV haven't done a deep dive on the list but im typically down for at least a novelty su ra re-issue each time rsd rolls around
@J-IV this one was actually a record store buy from a spot that had a shocking amount of freshly picked OG African stuff
To be fair on goodwill you can't leave out fans of Andy Williams and Mitch Miller
Or if the jacket is already roached like that onyeabor I picked up last year
@J-IV said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
I store it behind the record jacket so I don't have to fidget with opening the jacket at all
Same here with my older records
@Inorganic thanks Thomas.
I'm really enjoying learning as i go
@endo I do on every record that comes into my collection
A majority of what I own aren't valuable first pressings (although they all have value to me)
When i get a record new, or previously owned, i always clean it, put it in a static free inner sleeve and put a brand new plastic cover on it.
This process is partly psychological for me - i find that if i take the time to go through this ritual before something gets to be on my shelf I end up treating my records with more care in general.
Obviousely it also helps me to prevent wear and tear on both the vinyl itself and the sleeve
