Norwegian Buhund, Willow - ‘can we just go on this walk already’
Shit weather here in PDX calls for layers. When this vest comes out of the stable things are getting done.
Colder day here in Portland, any excuse to get a fire going. My wife took the pic and got my buddy’s sculpture in there (bottom right of photo)!

@pmadison95 whoa! Ok very good to know thank you
@Giles birth of a child and reshaped from kicking some ass perhaps?
@seawolf I agree with all of your points. When I went into the shop I was only expecting to check it out, see the factory and try on some boots. But it hit me that I should just pull the trigger on custom - hell, life is too short am I right? The fella working in the show room (a 5th generation from the Shoemaker family) said they're training up more staff which should reduce order times to 12 months - he also said that when they get leathers in and there are those that don't pass their quality threshold they say 'send 'em to Whites' - it was in jest of course, but it was a moment that made me realize how lucky we are in the PNW to have so many quality craftsman (I have Whites snow boots and love them )
@goosehd I appreciate that they keep your measurements on file and allow for free updates beyond that, do feet really change shape that much? I'm not sure, but now I know that I don't have to worry about it lol
@denim-dawg holy shit this is great photo
@T4920 i just started watching Trailer Park Boys first the first time a few months back. its solid gold. I find Mr. Lehey's creative prose using 'shit' hilarious.
Today I visited the Valhalla of boots, Wesco. It just amazes me that this little town of Scappoose, Oregon is revered around the globe. I’m gonna pull the trigger on a custom fitting and wait the 12 months for a pair.
@GraemeE yeah - this a flea market pick up from a vendor that has some weird but interesting shit. I'd describe this album as psych rock meets synth meets sound clippings - its probably the music i'd expect to hear if that mad boat ride that willy wonka took those visitors on were to continue into oblivion. (sidenote my wife just walked by, heard the music and gave a massive side eye - surprised her sockets didn't fracture).
@GraemeE whenever Derek Smith hits the morning off with La femme d'argent I know it will be a good day because my attitude has been calibrated. Classic album, one of those that brings me back to the moment I heard it.
