I only popped on here to look at the jeans.

RE: That's Jokes
Newbie here, so hopefully nobody offended by this one.
Sister Mary entered the Monastery of Silence. The Abbot said, “ sister, this is a silent monastery. You are welcome here as long as you like, but you may not speak until I direct you to do so.”
Sister Mary lived in the monastery for 5 years before the abbot said to her, “ Sister Mary, you have been here for 5 years. You can speak two words.
Sister Mary said, “Hard bed.”
“Im sorry to hear that” the Abbot said, “we’ll get you a better bed.”
After 5 more years, Sister Mary was called by the Abbot. “ You may say another 2 words Sister”.
“ Cold food”, said Sister Mary. The Abbot assured her the food would be better in future.
On her 15th anniversary, the Abbot again called Sister Mary into his office. “ You may say 2 words today”.
“ I quit” said Sister Mary.
“It’s probably for the best” said the Abbot, “ you’ve done fuck all but moan since you’ve been here”. -
RE: That's Jokes
A husband takes his wife to a disco.
There’s a guy on the dance giving it large - break dancing, moonwalking, back flips, the works. The wife turns to her husband and says “ see that guy? 25 years ago he proposed to me and I turned him down.”
Husband says “ looks like he’s still fucking celebrating!”

RE: Watches - another OCD problem
I recently replaced the leather strap with a bracelet on my 15 year old Railmaster. It’s changed the whole look of the watch and I love it.

RE: IHM-37-BLK - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Black
@HalfPastNever if you still have tags on it and it’s within 30 days of purchase then any decent retailer should offer a refund or exchange.
I own the jacket in olive and love it, but my collar is perfect. Just looks like this one slipped through QC.
I don’t know if the IH team can offer any further guidance?

RE: Brexshit
I can barely discuss this subject without raging at the self inflicted stupidity of it all. Some of the rationale from people was bewildering.
Some treated it as a protest vote , without giving a second’s thought for the impact that it would have.
Elderly people who had rose tinted memories of a country that no longer exists, and would never live long enough to see their perceived benefits of brexit. Their grandchildren will pay a high price for their shortsightedness.
People who blamed ‘foreigners’ for taking their jobs, even though they don’t want to do the jobs themselves. They have no interest in picking fruit, or working in hospitality, or working in hospitals or in the care system, and are now shocked that pubs are closing, food prices are through the roof and they can’t get a doctor’s or hospital appointment.
And the stupidity of believing in some of the biggest charlatans in UK politics in my lifetime.
I could go on but would be banned from the forum if I said more. -

RE: American Football (NFL)
@Nocturama I’m delighted that it’s at Spurs stadium as I haven’t been there yet. I’m a Packers fan so really shouldn’t be cheering for Chicago but will make an exception for this game.

RE: American Football (NFL)
@Nocturama that’s bad luck. I am off to the Bears game in London on the following weekend ( my daughter is a Chicago fan). My first NFL game live and really looking forward to it.

RE: American Football (NFL)
Well that was quick, but congratulations @goosehd .
Pleased to have another selection, and I’ll go for Vikings to beat the Jets in London. -
RE: IHSH-264-NAV - Ultra Heavy Flannel Ombré Check Western Shirt - Navy/Black
@Alex with the shortages of aspero cotton, does it make it even more unlikely that we will ever see this shirt again?

RE: Lisbon (PT)
@goosehd Lisbon is definitely on my hit list and your photos sell it well.
I don’t know if it would be of interest to you but Benfica ( biggest and most successful football team in Portugal) are playing at home on Saturday night at the Estádio da Luz ( Stadium of Light).
Before every game they have an eagle which is the mascot of Benfica, fly around the stadium, and then lands on top of the club’s crest. -
RE: Sell me your favorite football team!
@IH-GARY I did have a soft spot for Boro when my all time hero, Bryan Robson was there.
I have been to several OF matches including cup finals. There is nothing in England to compare, although not as good now that they don’t allow away support at the games.
-
RE: Sell me your favorite football team!
@IH-GARY having been an away fan at both Middlesbrough and West Ham, I’m not sure ‘friendly locals’ is the first thing that springs to mind
Great shout about Celtic though. Fantastic support with the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced on European football nights.

RE: Sell me your favorite football team!
@AdamC @seawolf totally agree re the doc if it’s The Last Dance you are referring to.
As a fellow Manchester United fan, Roy Keane is the closest I’ve seen to Jordan in sheer will to win. He dragged that team over the line so many times. What I would give to have a player like him in the current team.

RE: American Football (NFL)
@Jett129 if the Eagles performed half as well as you write the summary then I’d still be in the pool!
Good luck to those who still live to fight another week
-
RE: American Football (NFL)
@Jett129 wow, what a summary. Thanks again for your commitment to the cause.
In the battle of the birds, I’ll take the Eagles to beat the Falcons.
