More than just a commercial! I have a soft spot for silly music videos.
Why are most of your knives set up for right handed carry and the Dragonfly is set up for left? Just wondering
Good question! I've since changed it back, but for a bit I was wearing it clipped in my rear left pocket, and I swapped it so the blade would rest against the seam. Safety reasons, I guess.

Always know where your pineapple is? Swiss army knives are definitely classic for a reason.
For those curious, this is what a year or so of living too close to an awesome knife store looks like… All of them get rotated pretty regularly, I never understood collecting knives just to sit them in a box.

@tempa:
^ Where were you able to find one?!
As others have said, the Native 5 is awesome. I started carrying it for work and the small Sebenza for everywhere else. The Native 5 is a beefy little thing! I love Spyderco, but after having my first CRK, nothing doesn't even compare! Crazy how much of a difference it is.
I live in Vancouver, home of a store called Warriors and Wonders - they have a ridiculous stock of knives, and this was one of their last two Kopas. I also got my Sage 3 from there, pretty similar to your Native 5.
It's not on your list, but this is my new addition to the Spyderco party:
Kopa, Pacific Blue. I wanted a non-assisted edc, and it was just too gentlemanly to pass up.
My modest collection:
Spyderco Sage III, Sandstorm custom folder (Carbon fiber! woo), & Swiss Army knife I've had since I was nine. Not pictured is a Kershaw scallion that lives in the coin pocket, and a Swisstool Spirit in a belt pouch.
…I'll freely admit the colour was a major deciding factor for this one.
Chris, LOVED LOVED LOVED Rothfuss' books!!!!
Why must all the good fantasy take forever to be released? Agreed, they were some of the best modern fantasy I've read in a long time.
Slightly different, but anyone into Salman Rushdie? His newest book, The Enchantress of Florence, is interesting if a little high-minded.
i dont think it's too late but shoot megatron(gav) a PM. if get in, welcome aboard the IH army for round 2!
Apparently not! HC-IH-74 checking in. Now I just have to avoid going on any long-distance hikes in them until then!
Nothing too fancy - the Hermann Oak vegetable tan mid wallet, but with a zipper pocket instead of the open flap. I like how raw leather ages, so I didn't get a stain or anything. How about you?
Read this thread some time ago, felt much love for the John Faler stuff, I ordered one today!!! Excited!!!
Funny that, after reading this thread I placed an order with him for a mid length wallet yesterday! In case anyone's curious, he was very quick and helpful with emailing back and forth to make sure I got what I wanted. Everything is custom made, so you can pretty much get whatever you're looking for.
…So, is it too late to enter the competition? My new 634s are looking for a challenge. Too bad I just missed the t-shirt ordering deadline, but such is life.
Cheers! I will. Also a huge thanks to Paula and Giles (and the rest at IH UK), I placed my order on Tuesday morning and they were at my house in Canada by Friday.
Looks great! Maybe a little bit too long but thats just a matter of taste.
Yeah, I sold most of my other pants and "jeans", now I only own 2 634S´s and everything is just fine
Yeah, I intentionally got them a bit long - partly because I want to see how they stack, and I can always get them trimmed a little more. Also because my usual tailor wasn't available, and I wanted to leave a bit of room in case they messed things up.
Hey folks! Just thought I'd give an update, since everyone was so quick to offer sizing advice. My 634s arrived yesterday, and I have no words for how awesome they are. I got them hemmed this morning to slightly longer than needed, so I have room for cuff/stacking.
-Size 36, true waist 37"-
Thanks again for the advice - I have a feeling my other pants won't quite seem the same any more…
Cool. Thanks all, just wanted to get some more opinions. Updates to follow!
Hey folks! Sorry for another sizing question, but I've read through the thread and my situation's different from most. I measure a 37" waist at jean height, but I've also got pretty beefy thighs from cycling/martial arts, about 25" around. My question is, will a size 36 fit a 37" waist with enough room in the thigh/crotch area? Would a size 38 be too loose? I know they stretch nicely, just curious if anyone out there has a similar build.
Thanks!
Canadian checking in, but not the perpetually frozen kind - from Vancouver. I'm a recording engineer, so denim is basically the de facto workplace uniform. This forum seems like a great source of information, so thanks to everyone for their knowledge and general helpfulness. Cheers!
