regarding hemming w/ a taper: i highly recommend sending any pants you want altered to rail car fine goods.
they do great work. as long as you don't want them taken in too much, they will look fine(if the hem is 8.8, probably wouldn't be wise to go below 8")just ask them to start the taper like 10-12 inches above the hem, so it is gradual.
^are you talking about wearing the ihsh-70 and when you say micro-cord are you talking about the 73?
with respect to the ihsh-86, what a cool shirt. i can't think of a shade of blue that immediately catches my eye like this.
it is a testament to works inc. that the products they consistently release and the corresponding prices are one of the things that motivates me to graduate school and get into a career where i earn enough to be able to see a shirt like this released(or a dozen other products i can think of) and purchase it without it being irresponsible. similar to wanting to have the disposable income to travel, buy nice cars/motorcycles, the finer things in life, if you like.

i noticed in a thread about an upcoming denim jacket; in the course of discussing offering multiple variations/styles, various forum members assuring you that selling the product quickly would be no issue. you then explained experiencing sales in the past which fell short of your projections.
if i recall correctly, one of the products was a denim jacket with the rugged, first-class construction Iron Heart takes pride in, an 18oz. unsanforized denim that would provide advantages in terms of evo and "customizing" or molding the jacket to the body, and your intuition/taste on when a product will be a "hit" combined with forum members/consumers reinforcing your opinion that the jacket would, if not become an IH classic a la the 634s, at the minimum justify the investment necessary to finance whatever # of jackets constitutes the minimum Works Inc. requires you to order for production.
i turned this post into something quite different than my original intent for posting. i think the reason had something to do with how badass these jeans will be, especially if done in the 634s cut(guess vulcan would be ok). also, hopefully not "too expensive", as i am your broke college student straight outta central casting, and the 4 items i own from IH/TW are all too rich for my blood, even though i bought them all either second-hand or heavily discounted.
would like to get another pair of iron heart jeans and have fit questions.
i'm currently wearing a pair of 634s, size 32. the waist still measures 32" even though they have 2 months of wear. the fit is very relaxed and comfortable(tts for me is size 31 waist) but there is more room in the top block than i prefer.
its nice having a relaxed fit, as i don't like my jeans tight, but for my next pair am looking for a "slim" fit. btw, a current pair of jeans that gives the fit i'm looking for has: 31" waist, 10.5" rise, 12.1" thigh and 8.9" knee.
i like the 18oz. indigo w/ overdye but no way the 666sod cut would work for me with the small thigh measurements. so unless that denim will be released in a different cut, this leaves the 634sb or maybe the ihxb01xod.
looking at the size chart of the 634sb the size 31 measurements look really good, basically tts. the reason for this post is i read through the thread on those pants and several times people mentioned how they run a little bigger than the 634s. plus, even with a belt, the denim will stretch, so a perfect fit brand new might not be the best thing in the long run. so if i get a size 30, i know the waist will stretch to where i want but my concern is the thigh being too small. if the thighs on a size 30 will stretch to 12+, or better yet a pair has a larger thigh diameter than the chart(11.7") a 30 should be the right size.
the ihxb01xod interests me with the slimmer fit and cool details. but even a size 32, which is sizing up 1, has a similar thigh measurement as the size 30 634sb.
my bad for such a long post. wasn't my intent when i started typing. if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it.
also, if a picture of how my size 32 634s would provide more info than everything i just wrote, let me know and i will post one.

my favorite development of the playoffs is the combination of the spurs health/level of play ascending as the playoffs progress and the heat actually showing some vulnerability.
just got done watching the heat dismantle the pacers. what a clinic in offensive efficiency and solid D. even with that great performance, i can conceive of the spurs beating the heat in the finals. while i wouldn't put the odds very high in this happening, the odds are much higher than a month ago.
it would be great to see duncan and pop win one more championship to cap off one of the greatest runs in history.
seanocono, thats a great point. gasol got a breather to start the second quarter but was on the court the rest of the game. conley and z-bo played big minutes, too.
crazy game. paul george combined some incredible play with a few lapses. the pacers just couldn't afford him to make any mistakes down the stretch.
vogel has done a really fine job but he outcoached himself down the stretch.
that memphis/san antonio game the other night was pretty wild, too. it took hollins too long to stop playing TA and prince together. hopefully he adjusts his substitutions/lineups going forward cause memphis has no shot of winning otherwise. even with adjustments, memphis has little room for error. they just don't have enough good players. gasol, z-bo and conley ALL have to play good games, bayless and pondexter have to hit some 3s, darrel arthur has to play good pick-and-roll defense and hit the midrange shots he gets. san antonio can survive an off game from one or even two of their best 3 players.
chris hansen and the seattle group are ballin outta control. dude does not give a fuck.
and the market for nba teams has skyrocketed. all the owners were crying poor 2 years ago. destroyed player's and the incompetent representation they received in the lockout.
