My favorite jacket by IH. Seriously the best cut they came up with. @Oaktavia, it's coming along nicely. Hoping mine will get there.

RE: Heroes (Buying/ Selling/Trading)
I need another Type III like I need a hole in the head but man, I just couldn't pass up the IH-533.
This was the first time that I bought anything from @Monitor , and was admittedly a bit shy about this big purchase because I hadn't seen him around the forums too much. But while he doesn't have a lot of posts on the IHUK forums, he's an avid poster on the Fedora Lounge under the same username.
Anyhow, the jacket is amazing and my interactions with Monitor were equally amazing. He shipped the jacket out very quickly, was extremely responsive to questions, and after the exchange was complete, we got to chatting about stupid expensive clothes and such. Turns out he's a super cool guy.
I heartily recommend that you buy whatever he's selling, or chat him up, because he has fantastic taste and a wonderful attitude.
Thank you SO much for the compliments! I really appreciate it and am super happy you like the jacket. Though with the kind of jacket the 533 is, I don't think the transaction could've been negative no matter what.

RE: SEXIH18 -Self Edge x Iron Heart - The Final Denim Jacket
Pure and absolute perfection of a jacket. Gotta ask - don't see how that would even be a possibility but in case anyone's no longer feelin' the love for their SEXIH18, I'd very, VERY much like to bury you in money for it*. So bad that any size ranging from 38 to 44, will (should) work just fine.
*to some extent.

RE: Samples - New Products We Are Working On
101J is pure perfection.
But please, PLEASE, don't make it too long! Short length is literally what makes this jacket.

RE: IH-101J - 1946 101J Riders Jacket
I wouldn't think twice if just one more L was available. Kills me that the difference between an M and L is so drastic 'cause these jackets are absolutely stunning. It's got many wonderful touches, like the angled cuffs.
I guess I'll just have to wait for the Storm Rider.

Storm Rider - Final Decision
18oz Vintage Denim
Blanket Lined
Khaki Corduroy Collar
Tonal Stitched Handwarmers
Khaki Corduroy Pocket Bags
Bronze Coloured HardwareWe asked H about pockets set into outer front vertical seams. "Bad Idea!" he answered before Sarina even had a chance to translate. When asked to explain he said, they would be too far forward to make decent sized pockets (especially on the smaller sizes) and there is a tendency for them to get stretched and thus spoil the line of the jacket….
When can one hope for this to become reality?

RE: IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
Fit pics!
I shall take it out on a spin on the hog* this morning.
Not really. It's a 49cc moped.
Dude, that's awesome! Now imagine how cool it'll be when gets to where those jeans are now!

How breathable are these? Or rather, are they wearable in the hot summer? Can't stand T-shirts anymore, need something to replace them.

Big thanks goes to @JimBobTTD as a seller. Jacket was better than described, fantastic communication, fast shipping… All in all, great transaction.
Real pleasure doing business with you, man.

Thanks everyone! And yep, JimBob, it's definitely in good hands. Probably the only jacket I'll be wearing once the cold weather returns.

RE: IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
My mind is made up - it is this. I need this.
I am having a horrendous time trying to work out sizing, though. I have an ancient Levi's Trucker that I have measured (the Iron Heart way, as in the video) and it does not seem to make sense.
Shoulders 54cm, suggesting that an XXXL will be too small. If I measure it from shoulder to shoulder straight across, it is 48cm. With the buttons done up and my shoulders all the way back like a weirdo, it is just a touch tight.
Chest 62cm, again, so an XXXL will be too small. The jacket is quite large in the chest and I can layer a shirt and hoody (this is good) and have over 3" of space left.
Waist 54cm, so an XXL will be right
I wear a Levis M denim shirt but an Iron Heart XL fits me perfectly. 33-34" waist IH jeans. 40" suit jackets which are far too tight at the moment (I had an accident and an operation so I have not been able to do any exercise in 18 months) but normally are ok.
I am not a particularly muscular man, nor am I all that fat. At 6' and 86kg, I could do with losing quite a few kilos, that much I will admit, but I am not a large man by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, it is 10kg.
Sorry about the mixed measurements…I am an ex-pat Brit from the late 70s. So I think in inches, do not really understand them, and only have access to cm tape measurers.
I was also going crazy over the size until I finally decided on an M.
Thing is, when it comes to jackets, in my experience, you should be taking a P2P as a primary measurement work the rest of the fit from there. If the jacket fits in the chest, everything else should fall into place. Many tailors will tell you that a shoulder width isn't actually vitally important - some claim that it doesn't even exist as a measurement - which is something I kind of agree with. Shoulder width will affect the length of the sleeves but other than that, won't have considerable effect on the rest of the fit and the way the jacket feels on you. Well, as long as it's just a few centimeters of difference, of course. So I'd primarily make sure that the P2P fits.
The M that I got should've been spray-painted over me at a 21.something" chest but it's not. There's enough room for me to layer with a hoodie or something. And we're close in height and weight.
In any case, I really, really wouldn't recommend an XXL. I think you'd be swimming in it. L or maybe an XL should work just fine.
EDIT: grammar

RE: IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
I had my almost 7 year old daughter take these photos
This was an XL. I am 6'2" and about 146lbs usually. It feels fine with a T shirt with enough room to fit a hooded sweatshirt underneath. The jeans are 463s with my slippers hehe. And a beat up, old school Red Moon wallet (new one on the way!!). After a couple days, the combs in the arms are already setting. I LOVE this jacket!
Fits you perfectly!

RE: IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
Cheers, everyone! Thanks!
Oh, and yeah, the forum is what I meant when I said it's not getting enough love. I mean, compared to the 50-something pages the 526J has. So I figured we ought to do something about it and even things out a bit.
But yep, no doubt it's a popular jacket - When I was trying to figure out which size to get, the stock was getting smaller each day I'd check the product page. Eventually I bought this M out of fear it'll disappear before I make up my mind. Good thing I did as mine was the last one.
I'll definitely be posting more photos of it.

RE: IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
Hi! New to the forum.
How come this isn't getting the love it deserves?
This remains my favorite jacket even long after the hype has subsided. Don't think I've left the house without it once since it arrived. It's my first IH but I'm so in love with this jacket that it just might end up being my last. For a while at least, as I honestly can't imagine what else to get that could top it.
Right about a month old. Worn every single day. I apologize in advance for the rest of the "attire", it's the clothes I work in. That includes the jacket. It's why the hand warmers and the inside pockets are absolutely essential to me and the reason I went with this one instead of the 526J. Maybe, just maybe I would've gotten a 526 SBG had there been one in my size available but I don't think I would've made me any happier.
