They don't shrink at all. Washed mine several times. They are just starting to get some evo. Ill post some photos in the next week. They definitely don't fade as fast as the 811's.
I washed mine 8 times in hot water w/ detergent, and after seeing no change, did it several times in boiling water trying to get them to fade and so far there's been very, very little fade
I even added a little bleach to the boiling water experiments, and left them submerged for literally hours, making sure to keep the water super hot
almost no change whatsoever
anyone else have the same experience???
^ actually, with that brown duck cafe racer jacket, you could use Otter Wax to make it a waxed canvas distressed jacket
I distressed a tobacco suede cafe racer jacket using Otter Wax and it came out great, and duck cloth is even better
you can see the guys at Jack Knife Outfitters in San Francisco on their blog using Otter Wax to wax their duck cloth jackets and vests here: http://jackknifeoutfitters.tumblr.com/

a good example of a great color for waxed cotton: the Barbour Ursula
slightly OT - I started a thread in the General Chat section to drum up interest for IH to produce BROWN Wabash for use in vests, pants and shirts, etc
nobody does it, but it could be great looking and a coup for IH to be one of the first
here it is, so show your support if you like the idea:

in addition to being waxed, need to be a nice medium-to-dark brown, too
see old vintage Barbour's in brown for what I mean
Ok, I promise this is the last 'new product' interest thread I'll post in a long time…. but in addition to my Brown Wabash interest thread posted today, I wanted to throw out another idea that IH ought to consider making, and that is consider is a brown waxed cotton (and black, too) version of their Cotton Rider Jacket
with leather prices so high and the need for a lighter cafe racer for summer that looks better with age, waxed cotton/canvas truly fits the bill
this request is coming out of frustration I had trying to find one - Belstaff's are too costumey looking and nobody else is doing a pure cafe racer in waxed cotton that I could find in brown
I gave up looking and got a terrific tailor in San Francisco to make me one out of Dark Tan Martexin waxed canvas like this (and I will post a picture when it's done):

after seeing many, many old and amazing brown waxed cotton jackets at vintage clothing faires, it's about time somebody did one in a simple cafe racer format and IH already has a great version to begin with
imagine this in a great brown waxed canvas:
this would be a huge coup for IH to make since nobody else is doing it
just have to source the right color brown denim and then it's a slam dunk, imho
