@HoustonChris:
That's Roswell, New Mexico, though Georgia is filled with folks who seem like they're from another planet (no hate, tcash :D).
If its true its hard to read hate into it, you know?
So I have a larger knife collection than denim, but I was glad when I found the proper jeans to carry my stuff, and glad to find a forum with similar interests.
This is Jon Christensen's journeyman smith test knife, which means he submitted it to the American Bladesmith Society as a test on his way to becoming a Mastersmith. There are certainly folks that think I'm crazy for carrying it instead of leaving it in the safe, but I can't help it.
Decidedly less tactical than what seems to prevail here. I some tactical stuff too.

Thanks Beatle.
I am just north of Atlanta, GA in Roswell.
Converted lurker here in Atlanta GA (where the players play). There are a lot of overlapping interests in the forum. I look forward to sharing.
I've been lurking here for a while an putting off signing up, but davichan's post made me do it.
@ Davichan, I have a very similar experience, got 301s-07bk 1.5 mos ago, loved them, had to squeeze etc… Went for 301s 2 weeks ago and your description is right on.
I looked at the tag inside the jawns and found that the OD tag, while hard to read, says W 31. Since they were unsanforized 31's (and probably measured 33" or so pre-overdye) the OD shrinks them to a re-measured 32, whereas the sanforized 301s is just that, a sanforized W32.
All in all both are excellent IMO.
