I would say yes that loose thread. I had a pair of N&F denim that had the same issue and as I kept wearing them, the chain stitch kept unraveling and that whole outer seam pulled apart. I don't know if the construction is exactly the same as these, but it seems to be the same situation from the looks. Just looking for some guidance if they need to be repaired before I keep breaking them in. I'm wearing another pair of 888 SBG's for now!

Hi Everyone - I wanted to see if there were any opinions on the chainstitch unraveling that is currently happening on my UHR's at the crotch. These have been soaked/washed and only worn about 30 days or so. I am concerned that if I keep wearing them without any repair, this seam is going to completely unravel and I am unable to self-repair. Any help would be appreciated. Never had this happen on a pair of IH's before.

Looking good! I feel the same about mine - they felt a little tighter up top than my 21oz after a hot soak/warm wash but they are slowly creeping towards comfort! looking forward to progress pics!

Have never uploaded pictures on here before so I hope these came through alright! These came in today and their stiffness really is ridiculous. My 21oz and 21oz SBG's have nothing on these guys. Forgot to take pre-soak/wash measurements but after a solid 1.5 hours in the tub with tons of agitation, they shrunk up nicely! Unfortunately my washer is a top loader (piece of shit) and I'm gonna have to wait a few days until I'm back home for American-Thanksgiving to give these a full wash with a nicer machine! Also, I had requested that they come in at 33-33.25" from IH which we ended up settling on 33.25" and for some reason, they got to me at 34". Not sure what I can really do about this other than ship them back after I wash them, or have them hemmed in the states. Looking forward to washing/breaking these in over the next few cold months and watching the fades spring to life! Again, I appreciate everyone's help with sizing recommendations. Also have a few Good Art HLYWD pieces coming in as well so this IH lifestyle is really getting addicting

Thank you everyone for the advice! I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a size 30 as there were only 3 pair left. Having them hemmed to 33" so they will shrink to around 31.25" after the shrink and have requested the smallest waist out of the 30's they have. Will keep the thread updated!

Comparing the measurements to the UHR's, a size 30 looks pretty solid for me to shrink and then stretch back out but the hem and knee seem rather large comparative to my other pairs. For the 29, I risk them being a little tight after the initial soak/agitation stage but this would mean I would need to stretch them back to around their original measurements (maybe even past them in the waist). For veterans with the UHR, what would you guys recommend? I am leaning towards a 30 and shrinking the absolute hell out of them (I can make my bath/washer water as hot as I need) but just wanted a second opinion as others have said they stretch like CRAZY if put under pressure.
