GB, Very understandable, but you are getting a little overexcited. I can sense the glee in your emails and posts…...
Funny, how did you detect excitement???
Anyway overexcitement is good like overdying is good!
Haraki supposed to come to tomorrow's show. Robbie is excited too.
Everything is cool… -
Monty Alexander + Ernest Ranglin + Sly & Robbie - Live in Japan
Last night we played 2 shows at Blue Note in Tokyo after two nights at the Cotton Club.
For the second show of the evening they went over curfew by about 25 minutes, because the contractual 1 hour 10 minutes format is not for them…
Here is the playlist. I'll upload a song or two on sound cloud in a minute: Monty's Groove lasted an unbelievable 16 minutes 46 seconds, segueing into the Bam Bam riddim for a while.
Japanese fans are unfreaking believable. They are so respectful, knowledgeable and none of them is like a d+ckhead walking Reggaeskarocksteadymentodancehall encyclopedia, which can get so tedious in Europe... They are so quiet in their enjoyment, it is endearing. Boy, I love this great people and this fantastic country.
In any case, here is a link to soundcloud
