Couldn't really find a place to ask this but anyone know where I can get some light grey bluchers/boat shoes with a brick sole?
How about these:

or these:

ya I was contemplating these but I was unsure about the seafoam color, probably going to get these after seeing some more pics of them

i LOVE Quoddy. Have two pairs, and my wife does as well.

May stop by Leffot today to look at them. I am not interested in them outside of the construction and materials. Deerskin lining… Mmm!

They had me until I saw the sole…
Yeah I would agree. Not chunky enough for a boot imo. Still need to go check them out in person.

Here's a worn photo of those boots. The soles are outlasting my Redwings by miles. Great traction and the construction makes them feel like Ninja shoes. I do manual labor in them daily and they're plenty tough. Much more so than Aldens and the horween leather is much softer than that of my Redwings. $30 resoles are a plus too.

If anyone is after a pair of Quoddy boots in the UK, Liberty's of London had a stack in at half price (circa £150) at the weekend. That's cheaper than a pair of Red Wings, and they're nicer boots too.
Unfortunately they only go up to a 12 UK (13 US), and fit true to size. So they were too small for me.

Old and new.
After trying to go back to a more boot-like boot, I had to buy another pair of Grizzlys. Nothing comes close in terms of comfort. I ended up sticking the old insoles (which quoddy replaced for free 3 times during the life of the boots) in my Aldens to make them more comfortable. They're great for walking, hiking, standing, driving, and everything else for that matter. Though they arent made for it, they take a serious beating too.

I love the Quoddy boot but that crepe sole is blah!
I love it. Durable and the tread pattern is perfect. You can always pick them up with a camp sole for a bit cleaner look.
