Thanks Shoque, have a look here and see how the mouse over works:

1. Each product gets its own thread in the "Iron Heart Products" sub-forum. For the most part, this happens now but there are some product threads in the "News" sub-forum as well.
2. I'm not sure what the difference is between the "You and Your Ironhearts" and "Fit Pics" pinned threads. Perhaps the second could be renamed to "Critique my IH fit" and be used for people having questions about the fit of a particular piece. I think there is also a "What are you Wearing" thread in the General Chat but I guess this could include non-IH fits.
3. In the "IH Products" Forum it would be nice to have a "IH Catalog" pinned thread. This could list the name/number of each product with the production dates and perhaps a picture. There could also be a link to the thread corresponding to that product.
4. The Haraki-san sub-forum could be moved to a pinned thread since it has so few posts.
5. Move the "Hello Board" and "General Chat" further down the page since these are less relevant to the overall forum compared to threads like "IH Products".
6. Start a really awful thread so that we have something in the "Crotch Blowout"

OK, I'll see what I can do.

Reply: I think the News sub forum was designed for upcoming announcements and the IH Products sub forum is for products we already have

Reply: I thought of that awhile ago, but just left it the hell alone because both threads have a good amount of posts. Merging them would make it really confusing. I might just lock one of the threads and keep it there for archival purposes.
3. In the "IH Products" Forum it would be nice to have a "IH Catalog" pinned thread. This could list the name/number of each product with the production dates and perhaps a picture. There could also be a link to the thread corresponding to that product.
Reply: I think that might be a redundant thread since we already have "You and Your Ironhearts". It's a good idea in theory but I see it going sideways within a few weeks
4. The Haraki-san sub-forum could be moved to a pinned thread since it has so few posts.
Reply: I personally like Haraki having his own stand alone sub forum. I leave it to Giles and Shoque to cast their votes
5. Move the "Hello Board" and "General Chat" further down the page since these are less relevant to the overall forum compared to threads like "IH Products".
Reply: I'm in favor of leaving General Chat where it is. Doesn't bother me much. Never did care much for the Hello Board and wouldn't mind merging it with General Chat
6. Start a really awful thread so that we have something in the "Crotch Blowout"
Reply: Dr Pat sucks

The Hello Board is good because it was created to keep General Chat clear of nonsense hello's. There should be one Hello/ Hi/ Hey Thread (which could be moved to General Chat) and if new ones are created they should just be deleted.
As far as the IH Catalog idea, it is one I have voiced to Giles in the past. It would be a great tool for reference so people know what products are being discussed. That said, I think it could go up on the actual IH site.
The issue of the Fit Pics and You and Your Iron Hearts is confusing to me as well. I see You and Your Iron Hearts as more of a Sufu WAYJDT (What Are Your Jeans Doing Today Thread and Fit pics as more of a WAYWT thread. I thinks that the titels could just be changed to avoid merging the threads or freezing one up. I know Seul already started a WAYWT Thread but it seems like more of a WAYWT Chat Thread. -
WAYWT should àlways have pics. It turns into a chat thread cause this board is small. Also don't think it really matters either way, as long as pople use the same thread.
Advice:
- give Shubz her own forum
- deny my rights to make new threads
On a more serious note, the IH catalog idea is an excellent idea imho…

Okay - official update. Giles has given me mod power. I will try to do my best to support his work on this forum - and I will start by cleaning out the Hello Board. there is absolutely no reason to have 2 pages of threads each announcing the same thing.
There will be 1 hello thread - if ur new - make your introductions right there.

I post this here because it makes more sense, although it was originally conceived as an answer in the Random Questions thread.
It's easy. Only two threads, if at all, are needed.
1. WAYWT: Pictures and description/discussion of whatever you are wearing that day. Just for the shared love of fashion. No IH specific content required.
2. IH Fit pics: Pictures of how IH (!) items fit. Ideally the product's size is given as well as the wearer's weight and measurements. This way if I plan to buy a particular item I can better imagine what it will look like on me.
The IH Fit pics could also be really nicely integrated into each particular product thread. That would be even more practical and organized. Want to find out all bout the IH-03 or the 634SR. Open that thread. Read reviews, see fit pics, get news on that item.
A "What are you doing in your jeans today?" thread seems brainless (sorry). What's the benefit of that? Self glorification? Not needed. IH glorification? Not necessary. I can ride a motorcycle or a horse in my pajama pants or in IH jeans. I can climb a mountain in my underwear or in IH jeans. It doesn't make the wearer or the jeans any cooler to do a specific activity in this item. Thus such a thread is only going to attract ridicule when critical thinking is applied.

My OG 'What are you wearing today' thread was, as I stated in the thread, to get info and such about the product, and indeed to exist as fit pics. Miss Shubz had me change the title a bit cause she is hyperactive and doesn't mind talking people into taking pics of her when she's out
So yeah, Till: I agree with you. But I don't want a WAYWT thread that doesn't allow comments or questions either.
Edit: Beatle, maybe we can just make a small talk thread then. To talk about your day/ weekend/… Without too much clothes talk.
-
It doesn't make sense because I did it and I did not really think through the implications. I would like to see the IH products more as a "catalogue" of IH products - make sense?
"You and Your Iron Hearts" is essentially "WAYJDT = What Are Your Jeans Doing Today?" and should be converted to it. As for the Catalog, YES PLEASE!!!!
-
Fit Pix can just go into each individual product thread for that particular product. Also, someone please merge the previous conversation from "Random Announcements" as Till is correct. Thank you. Hope this nonsense clears up by the time I get back.

So we'd have the fit pics either as an independent thread or within each product thread and specific to IH products. This will be a very useful product and sales tool.
Then we'd have a WAYWT thread WITH discussion for the love of fashion; not IH specific. This will fuel the flames of the general passion, attract new readers/members and be just plain interesting and inspiring.
Finally, there'd be a thread that allows members to share their other passions be it fly fishing or bottleship building. The activity can be related to IH or jeans but doesn't need to be related. This makes more sense than a "What are your JEANS doing today thread?". After all, my jeans are either being worn, being washed or are hanging on a hanger. They don't do anything without me. … at least I hope so!
