Your current jeans rotation
-
H, I think 'evo' always looks better on other peoples jeans.
I wish I had the discipline to go hard-core on one pair for 365 days - Beatle what happens after that… a new project straight away ? what do you think the optimal rotation number is, two, max three to establish good fades over one year of regular wear. ( what are your fav' personal pair since you got into this 'hobby' ?) -
Stewart - I really think that one should just wear whatever jeans one feels like wearing that day. The less frequent you wear a pair or the more pairs you have in rotation - the longer it takes to see results-but we don´t wear jeans for fading reasons only. I guess what I´m trying to say is that evolution gets put into focus - but it´s also nice to just wear a pair of jeans and not even think about counting creases and worrying about honeycombs.
That being said - if u really want to fade a pair with nice results - don´t have more than 3 pairs in rotation - or just wear one pair every day…like me. BTW - what´s next ?

Just finished my six month stint for my PS BiG's. Jeans are now out on the line after their first wash, not worth posting a pic mind as unsuprisingly they only have a 'one wash' look to them

When life forces you to have one, maybe at most two pair of pants (jeans only) – you get beautiful evo. Sometimes, I think I'm too spoiled (and comparatively well off) to even discuss matters like evo and jeans rotation. That said, here are the jeans I own (all IH) :
SEXIH03BK (Black Cyclist)
SEXIH03 (Indigo Cyclist)
IH 301S (Inidigo Slim from SESF)
IH 9301 (Slim Super Black from SESF)
IH 461S (Indigo Bootcut From Giles)
IH pre-Levis-lawsuit 461 (Indigo Bootcut From Giles)
IH 9461 (Super Black Bootcut from Giles) -->Just purchased, on their way to meIH 634S ---> Wear rarely, don't prefer how they look on me
IH 1631 ---> Wear rarely, don't prefer how they look on meI don't think about "rotations" or evo. I just put on a pair of jeans and wear them for awhile, mostly because I'm too lazy to bother trudging up to my closet to retrieve another pair. I'm the anti-thesis of lazy when it comes to many aspects of life, but when it comes to fashion -- I take the path of least resistance.
I expend far more CPU cycles focusing on what's on the inside (my mind and body) than what's on the outside -- clothes.
That said, I usually wear a pair of jeans continually for about a month and a half straight -- then I hang em up and grab another pair. As for washing, I wash a pair of jeans as soon as I get them (inside out, washing machine + tumble dry HOT, no soap) -- but usually no more than that unless they get visibly soiled.
I've got 7 pair of jeans which I will "rotate", and I'm fortunate to be able to wear anything my heart desires to work. This quantity of jeans (7) already seems like too many jeans (choices) to me....but at least, following my "30-40 days at a pop" method, I know that all 7 of my jeans will get some good wear in any given year.

Last two days I switched to my IH-801's.

There are 3 Tom Boy jeans that I do not per-norm, ship out of Japan. Indigo, black (like your 1461's) and superblack. They come in W25-28, are a ladies boot cut (they were designed by Tom (half the reason for the name) and have a pink rather than a red W on the rear poclet…G

shubs - if you seriously thought u could resist temptation - forget it…LOL..Iron Heart makes way too many nice things...
I agree with "Iron Heart makes way too many nice things…". But believe me Beatle, I'm pretty adept at resisting temptation when it comes to all aspects of life -- not just shopping.

PBJ XX05 - a present from Daniel of DC4 - when I need to look a little less faded
Not gonna lie, I have been wanting a pair for a while now. Having trouble justifying buying any other denim besides IH.
