The Real McCoys
-
In another example of this Forum costing me way too much money, I ended up getting the Real McCoys deerskin vest via proxy from Japan. Will pick it up when I'm back home in NYC at the end of the month and super excited for it.
Super excited for you mate. Pls post pix whenever you have time

real mccoy loopwheeled items are like raw denim. they come kind of stiff & crispy & to me appear unwashed. any one with some real world experience can give me a schooling?
think i found my loopwheeled obsession for this coming winter
I have a printed loopwheeled sweater and its a nice piece. Have to wear it more over xmas now. Will post a pic asap

Ok… so I finally got my hands on the Joe McCoy deeskin vest last week. It is absolutely next-level. Beautifully warm, exquisite craftsmanship and works with so many different styles. I took 38, the same size as my Real McCoy's peacoat (I tend to take S, or sometimes M, in IH) so I can wear it with a couple of layers underneath if needed.

@Chiba:
Anybody tried any of the Real McCoys Lee repros? I'm particularly interested in the 101B (MP6101), which is their version of a 40-50s style Lee. Tried them on at the Shibuya store the other day, and they felt great. What do all you denim experts think of this denim? (good pics below)
I have these & the taxi driver 101z's.
Denim is great, very vintage feel with superb fading potential. Highly recommended. -
babyknight, that vest is superb. Great pickup. Enjoy!

sweet jesus this is absolutely beautiful.
i want the chocolate brown and will just have to pre-order from superdenim as they're all gone this year.

i just took delivery of the plain grey real mccoy sweat and from my personal experience i have not encountered deep cotton quality of this standard from any other brand.
the medium is a borderline fit for me though i'm definitely that from buzz rickson and a size 1 at albam though maybe i'm just worrying about all the eating i'm going to do over xmas.
i'm worried that it will shrink a little more when washed like the red raglan sleeve heavy sweat i got last winter but washing is the whole point here with the neck collar at a clever diagonal to the rest of the knit.
-
just got one as well, seems really nice quality, I notices the diagonal neck - is that to counteract stretch?
i just thought it would look nice on the fade

the chocolate deerskin down vest is out of stock!
have consoled myself by ordering the 'steve mcqueen' western denim shirt size 16.
if it comes down in size anything like the 8hr union it will be a lovely fit.
