Random Love (anti-rants)
-
I go to help a buddy move into a new house last night. First thing he does when I get there is ask me if I want to try on his pair of used Beatle Busters he recently scored on eBay. Turns out they're my perfect cut. My buddy says "merry Christmas, they're yours".
Additional anti-rant: I found my perfect jeans cut.

HUGE thanks to Riffblaster for helping me out with a secret santa gift for one of my buddies. He's a huge Converge fan and riff(nate/converge) really stepped up and delivered.
More love for Derivative666(Jeff) and MikeC(MikeC) for the Christmas presents! Hatchet from Jeff and a (yet to be purchased) Duck cap from Mike.
Thanks guys!

I was going to save this post for Christmas Eve, but with the events of the last couple of days, people leaving and being banned, now is the time.
Looking back on 2012 with this forum, and it's members, it has been an up and down strange kind of year for me, but still the massive positives far out weigh the negatives. The New York trip was obviously my highlight, I have met and befriended some incredible people, who I have no doubt that I will remain friends with for many years to come. When we got back I did a huge "shout outs of love" post, so you all know how much meeting you guys meant to me and my family, and how pleased we are just to know such great folks.
On the negative side we have lost a few posters this year, for various reasons, which is always sad. I personally hope that all the guys who are no longer part of the community here are doing well, and will remain in contact with those of us who you want to.
I think we all know just how special this forum, and the people who use it are as a group, I think that sometimes we forget that. There are many people here that I am proud to call "friend", and that is what makes this forum a place of respect, because we are friends.
I hope we can settle back into doing what we do best here, sharing knowledge, helping each other out, and taking the piss out of each other.
The next 12 months promise to be a little more challenging financially for me and my family, as we have certain things that we need to achieve (i.e grow up a bit with our money), and I actually emailed Giles to let him know that my purchasing will be vastly reduced. Giles responded to me by saying that my purchasing is not a requirement of involvement in the Iron Heart family. I think that sentiment said it all for me.
Peace and love to all our friends and brothers. Happy Holidays

I'm having one back for you Eli, apologies that it is Japanese not Belgian
-
Cheers Gav!
I couldn't have put it better myself. This is a great forum, and I hope we can continue to keep it that way.
The trip to NY was certainly a highlight for me too. This year has been a rough one, and one of the few bright spots was getting to know some of the great people on this forum and having the pleasure of meeting them as well.
Happy Holidays!

Mega,
Iron Heart is our life, and is what pays the mortgage etc, etc. But making lots of money, having people who think that a requirement to be part of "the family" is buying stuff, is not what we are about.
I fundamentally believe that if you treat people with respect, you are rewarded with respect. If you treat people as adults, they behave like adults. If you create an environment where people like to be, they like to be there.
As you all know, Geo was a fundamentally important part of my life. I still miss him, I think of him every day. We had a discussion one day and I said in response to the question; "how do you do what you do?". My answer' "It's not rocket science". His response (and this is the key point of this missive); "Rocket science is not rocket science"
I give not a shit how much people spend with me. I judge people by how much joy they bring to my life/how much they make each day more enjoyable.
You add colour and enjoyment to my life. I need no more…
Random love/rant over and out.

We’re banking on the hope that Tommytron - after years and years of brainwashing - in about 2030 will be the best IH customer in the known world. In fact he’ll probably be running the show.
-
P, Tommy's ambition is still to be a jeans maker like "uncle" Haraki
G, random love is appreciated mate
RP, I'm too full of chilli and home made bread for feats of strength, so I have already declared Tommy the winner
A truly Merry Christmas to you all

Merry Christmas Simon, Anne-Maire and Cam, hope to hang with you guys next year
